Black and White Birthday Card.

This was a card for a friend. I thought I would take a chance and do a black and white card. The photo does not do it justice. It was actually a very bright card. I know the sentiment is not centered correctly BUT I learned a couple of things making this card.

1. Using white EP on black cardstcock is VERY tricky. I was going to stamp the sentiment right on the card but getting a clean embossed image without all the little white bits was too hard. I bought an embossing buddy thing from Michael's that helped, but it was still very tricky. I used a very small brush to try and get the stray EP powder off before I heated it.

2. Black cardstock is very fussy about where you put your fingers. I left fingerprints ALL over it. I tried handling it by the edges but it messes up really easily.

Anyways, that said I liked the card.
I know black and white are not very birthday like but what the heck.
I am addicted to embossing vellum at the moment.

I stamped the flowers in Versamark on vellum and embossed them with white EP. I was going to put drops of liquid glass in the centers but settled on clear buttons. It looked like dew!

Enjoy!
Supplies... CTMH white daisy and black cardstock, vellum. white brads and clear buttons
other..SU punch.

Oh my goodness! This is very striking! I know I am repeating the other commenter, but it is the best word for this card!

Thanks for sharing!
