Unscripted Sketches #48

SK sketch 21 US sketch 48

Well hello and happy Saturday to you all. Unscripted Sketches has a brand new sketch challenge for you to try this week, so I hope you put on your crafty hat and join in! Each week we will be going through the entries and picking our favorite 3 entries for the sketch…so be sure to stop by and see if it was YOU!

I flipped this weeks sketch and used some CTMH papers and stamps. The stars are very glittery IRL.  Don’t know if I am entirely happy with it….but it is fun!

We are finally starting to see spring here…birds are singing, daffodils and tulips are emerging, and I even have a lonely little crocus flowering.  Take care.

Thank you card

I need more Copics…LOL. I spend way too much time trying to match colors rather than just coloring. I LOVE the color in these papers I got on a recent trip to Archiver’s and tried to pick out the little bit of blue in the paper…did it work?

I am trying to get the kiddos ready for ITBS testing next week and have been busy on the Home School front…so the blog commenting and visiting has dropped way off. I Hope you will bear with me.

The snow has finally melted here and the seagulls are now floating in the lake!

Take care and ENJOY!

Simple Birthday Cards…

These are such pretty but busy stamps I decided to keep them simple and clean. The first one I colored with Copics the second one with Sakura Stardust pens, so it is very glittery. The sun was shining so I decided to not use my lightbox to take the pics. I think it was actually too bright…because I am not happy with them…too much contrast even though I edited them. Anyways kept them simple , hope you like :0) The SS is piece of Cake from CTMH.

The snow is melting so we went to the lake and threw bread to the seagulls that have arrived. I am used to seagulls being very forward and taking the food right from your hands…but these guys were skittish…but it was fun!! If I close my eyes and listen to them I almost feel I am back home on the Island at the beach, instead of landlocked in Iowa.

Saturday morning LOL

4x4 buggy cards…

 DSC_0018 DSC_0021 DSC_0022

Helllloooooo out there…yes I am still here !! And much improved by the increase in the daylight hours and some sunshine. We even opened the windows on Sunday (I am pretty sure it is bad grammar to start a sentence with the word ‘and’ though).

I made this set of 4 cards the other day just because I really wanted to color these awesome images. The bugs are Inkadinkadoo (I think) and the sentiment is a SSD stamp. Cardstock is CTMH and the ink is Versafine. I colored the images with Sakura glitter pens and IRL they are sooo sparkly…like jewels. I have to say a lot of my inspiration lately has definitely come from Kelley’s AWESOME cards on her blog My Front Porch….wow but she takes simple and just blows me away.

On a completely unrelated note , some movies I have watched lately and enjoyed…Julie and Julia, Star trek, Angels and Demons (but if you read the book…they chopped a LOT of the story). My kiddos thoroughly enjoyed Bolt, Up, and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (requested that one twice even the teenager)….Gotta love Netflix

Well I hope you are all enjoying the longer days and warmer (if wetter) weather.

Hello and welcome to another Unscripted Sketches Sketch challenge! I hope you will join us this week and try out this sketch. Twist it, turn it, flip it, use it as your launching point and CREATE!!! My card uses all CTMH product except for some spritzes of glimmer mist to make the flowers sparkle….which you can’t see clearly in the photo. I hope you take time out this week and try our sketch!

I just want to say that I am sorry I haven’t made the rounds on blogging the last couple of days but life has made itself known to me and demanded my attention. I hope to check things out soon.

In real life…this is sooo sparkley and bright! It was a fun one to make. All product is CTMH except I cut out some different sized stars with my Sizzix. The letters and stars are glittered with LG and prisma glitter or stickles. The letters are popped up on foam tape. I am not going to admit how many times I rearranged the letters and stars on this card…suffice it to say…too many times LOL.

Hope you are all keeping well…our snow is melting here fast..YAY!

SK sketch 20 US sketch 45

Another Saturday and that means another fun sketch from Unscripted Sketches…. Nice and simple this sketch so I can’t wait to see what you do with it. I actually didn’t deviate from the sketch this week!

All supplies except the kraft cs is CTMH. I finally had a go at one of those cute flowers…better late than never!

Have a glorious Saturday and enjoy your weekend….spring is coming!

Smile….it’s nearly spring!!!! Does this remind you of the feel of the warm spring sun on your face and the beuatiful flowers that it coaxes out of the earth?…Well that was my inspiration with this card. The sun is shining, the temps climbed above freezing and I finally see some patches of grass under the several feet of snow that have blanketed Iowa since December.  For this card I used some kraft CS, some K & CO DP, PTI stamp set, K & CO  flower embellies, CTMH CS, Ink, buttons, waxy flax and ribbon.

Thanks again for all the encouraging words, thoughts and prayers sent my way…although I am not back to normal I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I still have very little energy and am  not right..but my cough seems to be lessening.  I am SO ready for spring and fresh air :0)

Hope you all have a marvelous Thursday…yay tomorrow is FRIDAY!

Somebirdy Loves You….

I was able to stamp some very simple cards the other day and am feeling able to do a quick post. These are super simple…cardstock stamps and ink…my favorite kind :0)

CTMH Somebirdy Loves you SS (I think )..white daisy CS , CTMH ink and some kraft CS. ..I made 2 because I didn’t like the one with stitching after I was kiddos agreed with me…what do you think? This is SUCH a cute set though.

My body is just not rallying from this bug….the cough is really killing me now and the sore throat is the pits. I am just miserable. Each day you think you are going to be better , but after a couple of hours upright and on my feet I am pooped. All the kiddos have come down with it now…my DS had a high fever last night. Here’s hoping I can come visit you guys and leave some love tomorrow. Thanks so much for your concern and comments.
