I haven’t played with kraft paper in a while so I pulled some out and got to work. I have been wanting to do some quilt style cards after seeing all the awesomeness over at Who Is Tracy Blog. The third card is a SUPER simple one using a strand of leaves and berry covered wire I found at Walmart in their Christmas wrapping section for $2.50!! I was also playing with those thin Cuttlebug folders! They do leave lines though.
The papers are DCWV, kraft paper from HL, Stickles, Holiday red ink CTMH, Sentiment stamp CTMH, White Gelly roll pen, and some Nesties.
I really love the red and green with the kraft…and the fact you can use so many patterns in a quilt card. Next time I will not place the squares so far apart.
Thanks as always for all your lovely comments, they always make me so happy!!
We are supposed to be getting blizzard conditions here in Iowa over the next 2 days with 7-12 inches of snow and 30-50 mph winds. Lets hope the weather men are WRONG….brrrrr.
Keep safe and Enjoy!

Great cards! Love the quilting look!
My friend, I love what you do with kraft. Your quilt style cards are wonderful. I love how the kraft makes the dps pop. The one with the wreath is just fab. Good luck with the winter storm. Keep warm and scrap!
Blessings,
kim xXx
I don't think your squares are too far apart at all. All of your cards are perfect.
ps... oh I would LOVE to have you on my DT. Are you kidding me!!!???? You manage to make ANYTHING look good! lol
Thats too much snow for me, lol. Such darling cards!
These are beautiful, Sarah! I love the 'quilted' look! And I love Kraft paper, but don't use it as much as I would like. Great job with all the cards!
Hugs,
Hollie
That is a super cute card. The papers make it so fun and childlike!
Beautiful cards Sarah, I love the quilted look. You've been busy lately with all your cards and I've been in awe though I haven't had time to stop and share some kind words. Good luck with that snow...it looks like it'll be a white Christmas!
These are darling!
Awesome! I LOVE these!!
These cards are awesome, Sarah! Love the kraft paper, the quilted look with your faux stitch, and the wreath is awesome. It pays to look around places other than the craft aisles sometimes.
With regard to the weather, I don't know which I'd prefer - your snow storm or our forecast for 15 degrees below tonight. Winter has officially arrived. LOL. Stay warm and safe, my friend!
I love kraft cards, I am working on mine right now...watching the Packers and waiting for the snow in Wisconsin also! Beautiful job sweetie!
Sarah,
Love the wreath card especially, the others are fun as well. I too have that fabulous paper pack, love it!
Cheers,
Shanna :)
Very pretty! Quilting looks awesome!!
Yeah they are predicting a foot of snow for us now. It was such a beautful fall day on Sunday..... :) Looks like a snow day tomorrow.
Stay warm!!
Fabulous cards, Sarah! LOVE them! Almost makes me want to trudge out to the garage and try my hand at something similar. But, nope, gonna have to admire through the monitor...it's too cold to head out to the garage craft room (plus it needs to be cleaned up)
I hope you stay warm and safe!
I love the look of your quilted cards. What a great way to showcase all those beautiful papers. And the card with the holly and berries is also just darling. And I too have found those thin embossing folders for the edges to be kind of a pain. I was reading awhile back though about someone who had a good idea on how to make them work better. If I can go back and find where I was reading that in blogland, I'll let you know.
Ah, these are all so fabulous!
These are just too cute Sarah! Love that wreath!
I love both of these cards but the wreath is my favorite. I know what you mean about the cuttlebug folders leaving a line but the wreath is so beautiful I didn't even notice.
We had our first snowfall this past Saturday. Richard and Kara built a very peculiar looking snowman. Enjoy the snow!
Lovely cards!!! Love the patterned paper:-) No blizzard here but it is FREEZING!!
Oh I just ADORE those quilted squares. Love all the space you left between them. Fabulous! Stay warm there- the storm is headed this way and they're calling for blizzard conditions here Thursday. Yuck.
WOW!!!!! That quilt style card is fan-freakin-tastic!
I love your stuff girly, you're so gifted!
