Is This A Mojo Monday Card Or A Card Crash?

Mary Vogel over at On Life and Creating posted that she was going to present ‘Card Crashes’ on a random basis…inspired by that hilarious blog …Cake Wrecks. She even posted her first Card Crash!

I am thinking this card belongs on Mary’s Card Crashes. I initially set out to do the Mojo Monday # 85

I bought some quilling supplies at Hobby Lobby and attempted to make a butterfly and flower, I then tried to build the card around them.  I chose Basic Grey’s Sultry 6x6 stack and Cornish Heritage Farms Ornamental Beauty stamp set.

Then it all went horribly wrong LOL. I don’t know what doesn’t work but I just can’t like it. I think I should have left the pearls off but I couldn’t leave well alone. I was going to toss it…but I decided to post it anyways. My mojo has taken a break…this happens a lot when I depart from what I know best…CTMH.

Oh well.

My Shout Out tonight is for Mary over at On Life And Creating. She is an amazing artist who makes some awesome cards. She also has great sketches for you to try! She is the sponsor for this weeks Card Patterns challenge!!!

I hope you are all having a better time with your mojo’s than me…and enjoying your Tuesday…I am off to see what wonderful things you have been up to!

Enjoy!

Thanks so much for the shout out! I like the elements of the card you made but all together?? Hmmm...not sure :) Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the chuckle, although I'll have to say I don't necessarily think this one qualifies as a Card Crash. It might just need a little rearranging, or as I've called it on my blog, card surgery! Love the quilling. Need to try that again. It's only been about 35 years. LOL.

I like Kathi's term...card surgery. LOL I agree though...your elements may just need rearranging...your butterfly looks a little lost on that dark paper...maybe if it were up towards the top? and scoot that flower (love it) towards your sentiment piece. Maybe make a couple more (things in threes seem to be visually appealing) and see what happens? It's got good "bones" and just needs a little "surgery." LOL Good luck.

Listen to me (sarcastic). I haven't even been able to create a card this week and I'm giving all sorts of "advice" like I know what I am talking about...sheesh. LOL
