Another Doily Card…

010

011

Boy was this one a snap to put together! I used CTMH cardstock and a Doily..That’s it!  It is supposed to look like the teacup and pot are on a table.  I used a brass embossing stencil and just rubbed some chalk and ink over the raised embossed edge. I used the Ms Gardner stamp set for the sentiment and popped a tea bag in the flap inside the card. The doily is folded down over the cardstock in front. I saw something similar in a book recently but can’t remember which one.

My shout out today is for Jeanne over at Creative Bliss….along the Tea theme you should see THIS that she made, wowzer!  And these cards are just spectacular. I love Jeanne’s blog. She is so talented and you will see everything there digi Lo’s,  cards,  crochet, knitting, and stitching. It is a joy to visit. Very inspiring.  Made all the more enjoyable as she is such a wonderful person!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and Mother’s Day. I am soooo tired.

I have to get ready for a Home School Retreat for myself and the kids Weds-Fri, camping in a cabin at a beautiful little spot called Hidden Acres in Iowa.  So I will be absent for those days…gasp! No blogging for 3 days arggggggg.  I will survive…no really I am looking forward for a time away from it all to unwind and relax.

Have a wonderful Monday.

Enjoy!

So clever! I may need to make one for my Grandma. She drinks her tea every day at 3:00:)

Hey Sarah! This is too funny! Your card is great! I love the tea bag tucked inside. I guess we were both so inspired by Jeanne's post we had to create something 'tea' related, too! LOL!

Have a wonderful time at your home schooling retreat. I miss those. But...my youngest is wanting to come back home for high school in a year, so we'll see.

Blessings~

I LOVE this card! I need a teapot stamp and can't believe there isn't one amongst the masses. LOL. I'm also glad to see the resurgance of doilies on cards. I still have a bunch from their last go-around.

You DO live in the state directly below me. The grass was green and there were leaves on the trees in Minneapolis/St. Paul last weekend. I just happen to live 350 north of there where it stays colder longer.

joy your retreat. I have a child who would have the perfect candidate for home schooling, but it wasn't widely accepted in our area back then. Instead, we struggled. Now, I've seen the difference it makes for some children and their families and admire folks like you!

Sarah! I love your card! I am so tickled to see the doily and the tea theme. I honestly didn't think that tea set would inspire such great cards! I need to find my doilies and be on the hunt for a tea set, as I don't own one.

Thank you so much for your lovely shout out. I appreciate your enthusiasm for what I share. Ü

Have fun at your retreat. As a former teacher I well know the dedication that goes into inspiring our kids and I admire your ability to work with your own kids so successfully.

Hugs!
