A Fun Card….

I saw something similar to this in a card book from the library so I thought I would have a go.

I used CTMH Colonial White CS and some B&T from the Emporium Paper pack. I cut a window and sewed a little embroidery floss up and down the window. I used the Aspirations and Cottage Floral Stamp sets for the teeny flowers. Inks were CTMH Holiday Red, Orange, Sunny Yellow, Topiary, Clover Meadow, Dutch Blue, Hydrangea, and Watermelon. The sentiment is from Fringed Phrases and the little dragon fly is from the CTMH die cut felts.

The bigger flowers are pop dotted onto the back of the card, while the smaller ones are stuck to the thread. I cut 2 of each color on the little flowers and glue dotted them together with the thread between them.

I quite like it.

There is a new Social Network that a CTMH consultant called Leisa started called Big Red Scraps. It features all CTMH product artwork. (kind of like Splitcoast Stampers for CTMH). The gallery is a great feature and some of the artwork already posted is phenomenal!

Leisa has her own awesome blog called, you guessed it,…Big Red Scraps. So I have to say  '’ Thanks  Leisa !”

I am EXHAUSTED after the retreat..but we all had a great (if cold) time. It was good to get into my own bed last night.

Hope you are having a wonderful Saturday.

Enjoy!

Excellent card, Sarah! Love all the flowers, the window and the floss! How fun.

I'm glad you had a good time on your retreat, although it's always good to be back in one's own bed.

Have fun on that new site you mentioned...looks interesting! You've got a lot of great artwork posted there.

Your card is so clever. I had to read the description twice to understand it. It is like an optical illusion. Way Cool!. Thanks for the info on Big Red. I am in the process of registering.
