Boy Birthday Card….

001

002 003

004

005

Ok this one is for Amy’s school friend who is a boy….nope NOT her boyfriend….he’s a boy, who’s a friend…at least that’s what she tells me hee hee !

I suck at boy cards, (this one is actually an adaptation of a Wishes Father’s Day card) and I am thinking this may be a little mature for an 8 year old….BUT I really love the Game On paper and I loved the effect of the silver bitty brads in the stars. Anyways when you are 8 and a boy (or girl) isn’t all about the gift and the cake and the party???? I will probably wrap the gift in the star B&T paper as well.

Cardstock: Desert Sand and Colonial White CTMH,

Patterned paper: Game On Lv 2 paper pack and My Stickease CTMH

Stamps:  August SOTM It’s Your Day CTMH

Ink:  Cocoa  CTMH

Ribbon: Cocoa grosgrain ribbon CTMH, Brown hemp Wal-Mart

Embellies: Silver Bitty Brads CTMH, square metal rimmed tag CTMH, silver Stickles.

Thanks SO MUCH for all the wonderful comments left on my last 2 cards, it makes my day!

Today was supposed to be warm and clear with a high of 74…perfect! But after a brief appearance this morning…the sun hid and the clouds rolled in and brrrrr the wind picked up..sigh…I guess this is Iowa for you!

I hope you are all having a wonderful Thursday!!!

Enjoy!

You know, after visiting your blog as much as I do, I never noticed how much Coldplay you have on your music thingy. I love Coldplay! "The Scientist" is my favorite.

OK enough of that- I'm lovin' the card today- I'll be copying it- and when I do I'll let you know. I love the front!!! The possiblities you have unleashed in my mind with the layout is endless. Thank you so much Sarah! Love it!!!

This is a wonderful card for a boy of any age! That paper is great and Wow! for all the detail. We must be on the same wavelength this evening. I've been attempting to make a birthday card for a man and gave it up just before the frustration set in. LOL. Sounds like our weather is doing the same thing, too. I'd sure like to see a little spring before summer rolls around...

Sarah, I think you nailed that one. It is a great card. Like you said though 8 year old boys probably won't notice. His mom will though. The fact that his name is PRINTED in the card might make a difference.
