I’m in a monochromatic mood…

DSC_0008

DSC_0002

I seem to me making cards based on color lately …My Christmas cards all seem to be white and blue and silver and my fall cards are heading towards cocoa and chocolate!

I picked up a bunch of card magazines at the store the other day and my first card was inspired by one I saw in the magazine…but can I find it now? NO! Nothing special but I was overjoyed to be able to use my favorite stamp Four Seasons. The second card is overly simple because I just couldn’t think what to do with it….I feel a card surgery coming on…I just LOVED that little wooden stamp from Hero Art’s I think. I really just stamped it to see what it was like then used some scraps to put it on a card…cute image.

Supplies: Colonial White and Cocoa CS CTMH, Grace PP CTMH, Cocoa Ink CTMH, Four Season’s SS CTMH, November Word Puzzle SS CTMH, buttons CTMH, Ribbon my stash, Fiskars punch, Hero Arts SS.

I am so glad everyone liked my wreath bling Christmas card , thanks for all the lovely comments. We are busy here all the time it seems with swimming 3 nights a week, Church groups for me and the kids on Wednesdays and every other Friday Girl scouts! From everything I have been reading on blogs I think I am not alone. Life seems to be flying past at the speed of light..like it is on FF or something. I need to keep making time to stop and enjoy what is around me.

Stay safe and Enjoy!

ETA Kim informed me I should enter this in Practical Scrappers this week as I used a punch..so I did :0)

Just Playin’ Around With My Christmas Stamps….

And trying to justify having them ha ha!!!

Couldn’t decide if I liked the dark green (Ponderosa pine) or the lighter one (New England Ivy)

DSC_0009

DSC_0015

Well I had a bit of time tonight so I decided to use some stamp sets that have never seen ink (gasp!)  The first card has that gorgeous wreath and I have seen it done in green with red bling for the berries…so I decided to change it up and use silver and blue.  That card used 60!!!!! little sticky blingy things….and I didn’t have 60 in blue…so I broke out the Copics and voila…the silver ones were now blue. After all that I screwed up stamping the Noel…oh well couldn’t think how to fix it so I left it alone.  The next 2 were ultra simple and I was playing with colors…I think I like the lighter one best. The sentiment is  embossed in gold.  There is a little gold star brad at the top but it looks like in my messing with the photo I kind of washed that gold color out. My third card is my least favorite…as I was playing with ideas and it didn’t come together for me as I had hoped. The ripped paper I saw on Tracy’s blog here and Jeanne gave me the link to the ‘do-it-yourself-Flowersoft’ Thanks Jeanne…it totally worked and I love it! Here it is …http://hogwildaboutstamping.blogspot.com/2009/10/make-your-own-flower-soft.html

Supplies ALL CTMH unless stated…White daisy CS, Ponderosa Pine CS and ink, New England Ivy CS and Ink, Dutch blue CS and Ink, Grey Flannel Ink, Versamark, Gold, Silver and White Embossing Powders, Star brads, Steep and Deep, Festive Frills, Holiday Warmth, and Say It In Style Stamp sets. Gold Stickles Ranger, Prisma Glitter, Make your own polar white flower soft :-)

I hope you all had an OK Monday. We were hard at it doing school work  and planning Halloween costumes (within a budget!).  Thanks again to all of you who take the time to leave comments…I know at this time of year it feels like life is on fast forward with everything going on and the Holidays fast approaching.  Anyways try and keep safe and well!

Enjoy!

I Am Addicted To Snowflakes….

DSC_0020

DSC_0021

Yes I am addicted to my Martha Stewart Snowflake  punch! This time I was punching some CTMH foil (discontinued) and thought it looked nice with a pearl. I also tried out Spellbinders Impressibilities snowflakes thingy…fun!!!! This is the debossed (sp?) side…It does not show up well in the picture but is is much more noticeable IRL. I also matted white on white just because…hubby was not impressed :-)

Supplies: CTMH White Daisy CS, CTMH Foil, CTMH December Word Puzzle, CTMH Pearl accents, CTMH Silver EP, Foam tape.

We have had a fun weekend…as I didn’t have to work and I got to spend it with my hubby. He is basically out of town Monday thru Friday at the moment..in fact he left today Sunday at 2pm and I will not see him again until Friday…then I work all weekend and he leaves again…NO FUN..But I am thankful he has a job. This week he is in Oregon. Allison and I had a good birthday and thanks for all your good wishes!!!!

I am still getting that annoying malware thing pop up on some peoples blogs…Alanna, Kim, Penny, Vicki W…I would like to leave a comment but Google has flagged your blogs as having Malware links…It is probably nothing but just to be safe I am holding off. I am thinking of downloading a surfing with Firefox…any opinions??? What do you surf with and do you like it. IE just bites, I like Chrome but Google seems a little overly cautious here lately.

Anyways Have a wonderful Sunday evening!

Enjoy!

‘Warning …visiting this site may harm your computer.’ messages

Ok I am getting a little tired of this ‘Warning ‘Page Google is putting up as you navigate to some blogs….. you know the one…all red with a ‘warning Malware detected’ wording of some kind.  I have come across this on quite a few of the blogs I visit regularly and it is becoming more  and more  common. In fact apparently MY blog had it!!! Well I investigated and deleted a TON of widgets…I scanned and checked every BIT of HTML code on my blog and there was NO malware or suspicious code. Then poof the warning to my blog was gone. This warning is generated by Google  and if you surf with IE you won’t see it. I use Google Chrome. Anyways I have thoroughly checked my blog and there is NO malicious code that I or my tech savvy hubby can find.  Just wanted to let you know…The warning page popped up when I went to at least 5 of my frequently visited blogs tonight to leave a comment…so if there is no comment then that is probably why! Anybody else seeing these ????

Hi everyone…welcome to another Unscripted Sketch it Saturday! Here is a fun sketch for you to try! I couldn’t get my mojo on for this card…but I knew I wanted to use this sketch for my daughters birthday card. The purple and Asian was a given, as she loves the color and the theme.  The card is a bit busy for me as I was trying to fit all the elements of the sketch in…but it is what it is :-)

Supplies, CTMH CS, DCWV Far East Stack, Vellum Hobby Lobby, Bitty Brads Photo hangers and Sassy strands  all CTMH , I am thinking the stamp is Inkadinkadoo but I could be wrong, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, Copics, Versafine Black ink.

I do hope you go to the Unscripted site and see what the DT came up with. Another thing you really have to check out is Beth’s card over at InkyfingersRule…she made THIS amazing robot card as submission for a DT call and she needs your votes. Not that you will need me to say so…the card is just amazing! You can vote here.

My daughter and I had a busy birthday with not much time to celebrate yesterday…so we are hoping to just ‘Chillax’ today. Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday and stay healthy and safe.

I just LOVE this stamp set so much! It has really crisp, clean, thin lines that lend themselves beautifully to coloring. Also you can mix and match the candle and pumpkin with a variety of tops and bases…just awesome.  I got this from I {heart} papers , it is Happy Harvest by Petal Press. Petal Press is Tracy Schulz’s new line of stamps. I have the Christmas one on my Wish list!!!! It is my birthday Friday so maybe I can get it then.

Supplies: Cardstock CTMH all colors, ribbon CTMH, colored pencils CTMH, odorless mineral spirits, Versafine black ink, Chocolate ink CTMH, Happy Harvest SS Petal Press.

I mentioned that it is my birthday Friday…it is also my eldest DD’s birthday…she was born on my 31st birthday and she will be 13 on Friday…yes do the math…I am OLD. It is now her birthday and not mine…not that I mind LOL.

I had to laugh to myself  when I read Alanna’s comment yesterday that she enjoyed looking in my drawers…in the UK drawers are another name for underwear. It just cracked me up.

On another note here is a little rosebud my Mom knitted me while she was here…I just LOVE it!

I had a moment to get into my space tonight and I was itching to use one of  the $1 wooden stamps I found in Michaels dollar section. I also wanted to use my new SS from The Petal Press from I {heart} Papers…but I ran out of time…so I will have to finish that one up tomorrow. I was inspired by Alanna (with this card), to get this in as many challenges as possible ha ha, so here they are…

This is a very quick post because I wanted to share this card and LO I made using the October SOTM from CTMH. The LO is a shameless lift from CTMH flyer on this stamp set…Holiday Warmth…except I used flip flaps to get more photos in…also I spilled water on my ‘E’s so I had to change my title LOL. The card is all mine…simple to the point of kindergarten ….I probably shouldn’t even post it but what the heck…the gift is pop dotted.

I am exhausted after my weekend and me feet are yelling at me..Hope you all enjoyed your weekend!

I am messing with my blog so consider it a work in progress LOL.
