It’s Saturday and that means it’s time for another Unscripted Sketch Challenge. I did enjoy this weeks sketch as I got to make it with my Mom watching me. This card went home to the UK with her! She told me card making was wayyyy to fiddly for her..love you Mom. Make sure you go visit the Unscripted Challenge site and check out all the design team work….so awesome, then have a go at this sketch..I would love to see what you come up with.
Supplies: CTMH Twitterpated Lv 2 PP and My Stickease, CTMH felt die cuts, CTMH Glitter Brads, CTMH Button and Waxy Flax.
Well I had to say goodbye to my parents Thursday and it was a long, sad day. Allison (my eldest DD) and I cried all the way home from the airport in the car…sigh. But we had a wonderful visit and did tons of fun things. My Dad put in a new kitchen sink for me, redid our deck lights, put up new daylight fluorescent strip lights in my basement (where I craft), and then redid my whole craft area!!! OHHH I almost forgot he built me a very nice lightbox AND they bought me a new camera, I am SOOO blessed. Now we have to settle back down in the swing of things. My husband started his new job with Toshiba and has been in LA all this week. Well enough of my babble…how about a few pictures from the visit..
Have a wonderful Saturday!
Enjoy!

Love the card and the pictures.
Fantastic card, Sarah!
Glad that your time with your mom and dad was so special and productive! It's always sad to see those special times come to an end. Great photos and wonderful memories.
Happy to hear your hubby has started his new job, too. Have a great weekend, friend!
Your card is so lovely! That bird is so pretty.
Okay, define "fiddly" for me??
I LOVE your card...and the photos...and the precious relationship you have with your parents. Where in the UK are there? Scott and I spent 4 years there in the AF. And I appreciate the prayers for MY hubby to find a new job soon :-)
This stamp set is just so fun to use, love that he is his own unique guy, listen to me giving him personality.Love all the pictures of the family.Glad you are enjoying the new camera.
Beautiful card, I love how the bird is pieced together. Fiddly....I'll have to try to use that in everyday conversation.
Love the pics of your visit with your parents, especially the one where you're "holding up the rock"--it'll be a great one to use in a layout.
Aww...I'm sorry to hear that you girls had a good cry after your parents left, but I'm right there with ya. It's a touching testament to the special relationship you enjoy with them. Glad you enjoyed your time with them, and an additional blessing for you that they left you with SO many wonderful reminders of their visit. (Love the pics too!) My parents will be rolling into town in a couple weeks for a very short visit on their way home from visiting one of my brothers, and we all know what that means...lotsa waterworks. Worth it though. ;)
Glad your hubby has started his new job, but hopefully he'll be back from LA soon.
Oh, and your card...very sweet. I'm liking all the new felt die cuts CTMH is putting out these days (and their papers too). You're doing a great job using them on your projects! tfs and hope your tears dry soon.
Your card is beautiful! Love your felt pieces! Fabby colors too. The photos are great for scrappin' this trip. I can only imagine how nice it must have been to have your parents here and just how difficult to say goodbye. You're in my prayers. Does hubby like the new job yet?
Blessings,
Kim xXx
This card is adorable! Love the family pics too--maybe you could convince your parents to move to the states? ;)
Beautiful card, Sarah! I got a giggle from your way too "fiddly" for your mom comment. Hee, hee!
I'm SO glad you had such a nice visit with your folks (and all the fun things that got done, fixed, created). You have a wonderful relationship and it shows. Hugs to you!
Oh and I read a few times (in comments) that you woke up to snow yesterday. Our high temp here was 26! Broke a record for the lowest high on that date. Brrrr (and it snowed, too) That cold air can return to Canada, I'm thinking. LOL
Sarah this card is gorgeous! I love all of the details, and how you set it on the branch. How very fitting!
It looks like you had a wonderful visit with your family! Great pictures!
I missed you, and am glad you're back! *hugs*
Your card is so fabulous Sarah. I love the bird and all the details.
I enjoyed seeing some pictures of the time you all had with your parents. How wonderful that you have such great parents and that your children love their grandparents so much.
Love all your pictures! I wish blogs had a "like" button like on Facebook so that when we don't have enough time to leave a message we could just click on it and let you know that we love your stuff!!! :)
