Fun with Snowflakes and Scraps…

Can I just say…Dad I LOVE you for redoing my  crafting space(well I love you to bits anyway but..). I go down there and I am so happy. These cards came together using the scraps out of my hanging file folder drawer and a Martha Stewart snowflake punch.  The first card I punched the snowflakes from the actual card and was going to color the card back….I ended up sticking colored CS to the back of the card front covering the snowflake holes. The second card I don’t like. It just doesn’t work for me..too busy. I actually had the sassy strands fibers on the first card but took them off as they just took away from the card. The third and fourth cards are little 4x4’s that I put together because I had all these little snowflakes on my worktop. Ohhh and I MADE myself not put the work ‘Simple’ in my blog title…I use it wayyyy too much. Although most of my cards are very plain and simple.

Supplies: White Daisy CS and a range of blue CS from CTMH, Dutch Blue Ink CTMH, Sassy Strands CTMH, Bling CTMH, Pearls CTMH, All sentiment stamps CTMH, Martha Stewart Snowflake Punch.

I hope you are all having a wonderful Tuesday…my DD has joined a swim team that meets Mon, Tues and Thurs evenings, She has Youth Group at Church Wednesdays and Girl Scouts Every other Friday…Hmmmmm…eating into my crafting time a bit LOL. With me working every other (or sometimes every) weekend I find myself with a serious lack of crafting time. So I will blog when I can…I will probably go into withdrawal.

I don’t know if I shared a picture of the ultra cool lightbox my dad built me of lightweight, ultra white, aluminum…so here it is.

The only reason that whiteboard is behind the box is so I could clip my lamp on it…the aluminum is a bit thin to use the clip on without distorting it. I switched all my bulbs to fluorescent Daylight Bulbs…I am fanatical about light….hence the bazillion lights in my area. I really do like the light from the daylight bulbs…such a bright white light without that yellow tinge.

Anyways, have a wonderful Tuesday evening and stay safe. And thanks as always fro all your wonderful comments…they keep me going and make my day!!

Enjoy!

More cards to lift! I LOVE them! Beautiful, Sarah!

I sure hope you find time to create. First, it's good for you. Second, it's good for me to be inspired by you.

I remember what it's like to have busy kids though. Family first! Oh, and your light box is awesome as are the photos you're taking with that new camera! Very cool.

OMG, your cards are amazing! I am craxy about the blue! These are so clean and classy. I love the first one where you punched the card. Excellent!!!
I've been telling my Honeybee what all you terriffic dad did in your room. My Honeybee is very handy like that, but I'm not getting anywhere with it. Love yours though!

Oh SO pretty! I'm so glad you have a craft space that inspires you so and a fantastic photo tent as well.

Dads are so good to daughters!

I hear you on the busy schedule, as our has ramped up, too. Sigh. I hope you can settle into a routine that will allow you to eke out more creative time soon!

Your cards are so pretty. Very clean. Very classy. I love the crisp colors and the way you've boutiqued them for photographing! I can tell you're enjoying your new space and that's the best part of all! Thanks for sharing and I truly understand 'posting when you can'. Take care now.

I love the cards, especially the many shades of blue (looks like an US layout) one. When do we see pics of the redesigned craft space??????

I love all the cards too and sometimes simple is enough. I was going to say the same thing as Caryl about the US sketch. LOL

Can you tell your dad to come over to my house and rebuild my studio? While he's at it he can also redo our sink too.

These cards are fabulous! I wish I had more time to look through your blog. You've got some stunning cards that I want to use for my Christmas cards this year. Love them!

I have seen your posts before and seeing your birthday card today...took my breath away. Then your light box caught my eye. Could I get more info on it? I have tried one once before and failed. :(
Thank you for your time

I have recently wondered how some people (including you) get such great photos of their work! No matter how hard I try I can't get mine to look as good as I'd like them to. Thank you for the lightbox info...I've already emailed my dad to see if he has any clue how to build a lightbox. haha! Keep up the great blogging...I love all your cards...you are the master of elegant simplicity.
