I have met some amazing people since I started blogging, one of whom is the EXTREMELY talented Christi Milliken (you can see her amazing cards on her blog, Blessings on Paper). Well Christi is turning 50 today and her Mom contacted a bunch of bloggers who she knew and asked us if we would be interested in sending Christi a birthday card and a little something containing 50 goodies wrapped in black. Well of course I jumped at the chance to surprise such a wonderful person. Then we decided to do a blog hop linking all the people who were participating as an extra surprise. Until Christi sits down at her computer today she will have no idea about this!!!

SURPRISE !!

This is the card and little tin I sent her. The tin is filled with 50 buttons (makes for a noisy package LOL!).

SOOO if you have come here from Mary’s Blog then you are on the right track and now you can hop on to Susan’s blog..if you want to start at the beginning here is the complete list.

Love your card, Sarah! And that you sent her 50 buttons. That sentiment is fabulous and so is the entire design.

Guess what I sent her? I'm not telling, but I hope she likes it, even though I thought I had to sent 50 of something black. It's black alright! LOL

Very pretty! I love it. That is a great gift. I like the glitter on the 50. I live in Clive, Ia. We sure are having some cold and dreary weather right now. I need some sunshine!

Okay, even through the tears, I had to laugh when I saw your card --the dead flowers AND that sentiment (thank goodness we don't grow a new finger with each year, although maybe an extra arm would be nice) are perfect for someone as OLD as I am now!! ;) The tin is beautifully decorated too (and now I know what's been making all that noise in your package! lol) --I'm looking forward to seeing these beautiful projects in person...just as soon as I finish 'partying,' that is. ;)

Sarah, thank you sooo much for being a part of what turned out to be a wonderful day for me...even if I had to officially (and publicly --ugh) become OLD to have it happen to me. ;) Definitely one I'll never forget. A day full of family, friends (real-life and virtual), laughter, and happy tears is about the best kind there is!

Thanks again, Sarah. ;)

OMGoodness Sarah this is amazing! What a wonderful surprise. Your friend Christi will be so surprise. Your card and gift are wonderful. I love the card all done in black. Stunning!
I made a card for your Card Patterns Sketch challenge and Unscripted today. I loved your sketch, but that card was outstanding.

This is fantastic! Your friend is one lucky girl! Hope your weekend was great!
You must have sent that snow/ice our way - it is looking like a snow day tomorrow - which will also mean my three day work trip would be cancelled - hmmm, my boys will be delighted if Mommy can stay home and play and read with them all day long! Time will tell, and well the road report in the morning....
Cheers,
Shanna :)

I LUUUUUUUUUUURVE that card! Oh my goodness! I LoVE IT! Those flowers are DIVINE and I love your "starry" backdrop (both the card and photo backdrop). What a great idea to do the 50 buttons in a tin, too. You guys are so awesome!

Hope you're surviving today's blizzard! My sis and dad said it was coming down like a wild banshee today.
