A Simple Card Made From Scraps and a Woot!

Inside the card….

DSC_0006

I made this little card after I made my tree card from the previous post.  I also paid attention to the inside again. The cardstock, ribbon, and stamps are CTMH, the gems  and punched from my LSS.  I have to say my punch collection is GROWING!!!  I never thought I would get into punches ..ha…well I never thought I would get into card making either !!!!

Now for the WOOT….My card made it to the top 6 for Cardpatterns sketch challenge #46…and was then picked as the winning card…gasp!!! I get to be a guest designer for their next sketch woohooo (OK add a heavy dose of stress in there too….and maybe a shake or two of freaking out). I am tickled pink to have been chosen though, it really made my day week

Well I hope you are all doing well and staying safe. We are expecting ice here for the next few days…. I am sure THAT will be a BLAST.  We have had freezing fog the last couple of days and today the frost was sooooo cool. So I dragged the kids down to the lake for a little field trip and we took pictures of the frost then came back and wrote about it. We also got to walk around on the lake which the kiddo’s got a kick out of….it is frozen solid with I don’t know how many inches of ice.

Congrats. Beautiful photos. love the artsy ones and the ice crystals. Children look like they don't know why you are taking photos. Do they know what you do with all that paper and stuff??? grins. We are back to Florida type weather. I guess that's kinda good considering my nephew is getting married this weekend at his dad's house on the lake outside.

Sarah,
Congrats!! You so deserve to be recognized ... your card is amazing. I love it! Your photos are gorgeous. Of course we have so much snow here in Vermont that it is probably the last thing I needed to see LOL. Blessings!

Sarah,

First off, CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I'm so happy for you! YaHOO!

I LOVE this card and the inside - two cards in a row! Wowie. But really, I do love the card - it's just so balanced!

Your photos are also breath-taking. The last one I saw the broken branch - perhaps from the cold and wind? It's a reminder that these temps are not ALL beauty - they can hurt, too. Your blog is such a treat!

I have to admit, I miss the snow. Especially when it's like it is in your photos. Peaceful. Nice shots of the bench, very relaxing. :)

This card is so adorable! I love the gems. I know exactly what you mean about the punches. They seem to be multiplying like rabbits in my cabinet. LOL

Gorgeous pics BTW!
