SK sketch 16 US sketch 41

Hello and happy Saturday to you all. It’s time for another Unscripted Sketches sketch for you to try. This week I had fun making a busy sketch simple :0) As always we want you to take our sketch and RUN with it! I used PTI cardstock and stamps with some CTMH ink and ribbon. In real life that ribbon matches my cardstock..honest. Can’t wait to see what you do with this weeks sketch.

I have really got a serious case of the winter Blahhhh’s. With the snow just dragging on, with many more weeks of winter to look forward to, and with  a schedule that never seems to ease up I feel like I am loosing my joy of life and love of creating. I can feel the creative juices running out of me like a river. I am assuming this is temporary and will right itself here eventually. I will be hitting my 1 year blogaversary on the 22nd of Feb and wonder if that has some, thing to do with it? Just know that if I am not commenting as much as I normally do, that I am looking at and enjoying your inspiration as always. I feel like I need a good shakedown to get myself back on track.

OK enough wallowing …Hope you guys have an awesome Super Bowl Weekend!!!

Enjoy!

I love the yellow and brown together. They work really well. Beautiful card!

I know how you feel about losing your creativity. Sometimes it helps to take a break. :)

Gorgeous colors! I'm glad I'm not the only one that happens to when I take a pic and the colors come out all wonky.

Your card is beautiful, Sarah!

You are in the funk I was in a few weeks ago. It will pass. Winter is getting long, although I think once the calendar rolled around to February, I realized it won't last forever... maybe just another three months or so. LOL.

Enjoy the weekend!!

I think you did very well with this one sweetie! I like that you used the yellow the color of sunshine.
I know this winter is dragging on for us midwest folks, I understand the drain also- give yourself a break and just take care of yourself. It will come back when you least expect it sweetie!

Hey Sarah,
I feel it too, this week was a tough one - I guess a combination of things, I was cranky, frustrated about some things and just couldn't seem to get anything done or at least didn't feel good about anything I did. Usually, making cards make me feels so good, but I couldn't even do that all week. I finally pulled myself together and made a card yesterday and I think it helped me a lot! Hope you can kick the "funk" soon! In the meantime, do whatever makes you happy, sometimes that means taking a break. :)
Beautiful card, love the colors you chose!
Hugs,

Shanna :)

love your stamp- thought it was SU at first. I too get the winter blues, has something to do with not getting enough sun light. So, to help, I start some spring cleaning to take my mind off of things. Mojo always comes and goes, your body is telling you to do something different to recharge it. go with it!- kelly

Sorry to hear you're in a blah mood--although after seeing your snow and ice pictures I can certainly understand the winter blahs. I'm ready for summer and it's actually sunny here today!

I got a little burned out trying to get stuff done for Christmas and ended up not creating stuff for about a month or so. When I started back I had so much fun playing with my supplies and found that scrapbooking was actually a stress reliever for me again.

Take time off if you need to--we'll all still be here! Hugs to you!!

Love your card, Sarah! Love how you turned simple that sketch... I couldn't do it like you!
Maybe you need a change of activity, give yourself more time...
I have another blog for my writings in spanish, and last year I was publishing there almost everyday, but in november I was about to close it. I was feeling then like you're feeling now. But then I was wandering around the internet until I found some blogs of scrapbooking and regain my enthusiasm for the craft. This brought me back to the world of blogs...
Apparently I was too focused on my intellectual work and just needed to give some work to the right hemisphere of my brain!
Hope you can find your alternative too!!
Hugs!

Your cheery card helps shake me out of the winter blues. I'm sure your mojo will come back (although judging by this card it's not really gone)!

Inky hugs!

Love your card. Your cards are always so very clean and make such a statement! This one is no exception!
You will pop right out of....this winter has been long, snowy and cold. Surround yourself with those you love, papers and stamps you love, and just know that baby birds will be singing very soon, the sun will begin to make more frequent stops, and the Easter Bunny will be hopping down the lane! big hugs to you, my very sweet friend!
Blessings,

Your card is certainly lovely, Sarah. I love the color combo.

I had that 'funk'. It lasted for months. I got to the point where I didn't even open the door to my studio. I finally stopped fighting it and just let it be. When I 'woke up' from it, not only was I completely refreshed and ready to create again, I learned that I developed a new outlook on my creativity and how I would post my projects. It's working real well for me so far. SO. Relax my friend and enjoy a bit of down time.

Your card is lovely, Sarah! Beautiful colors and I love how you used the blossoms to simplify the sketch --very creative!

Sorry you're feeling yucky. That's no fun, but I think it happens to all of us once in a while. No worries, though. It IS winter, and it's common to feel blah when the sun's not shining so much and it's too cold to go outside, and even worse when you feel like you HAVE to create and you're just not in the mood for it. It's temporary. So in the meantime just enjoy your family and friends, read a good book, and do whatever else makes you smile and is uplifting to your spirit. ;)

Lovely card, Sarah!

I don't think I can add anything to what the others have said. You just may need a wee bit of a break from creating (or blogging) to recharge your batteries.

Hang in there! Big hugs to you!!

Been there...done that. I have had those months where the creativity seems gone. Then all of a sudden, I'll see a card or a scrapbook layout that gets me excited and the juices start flowing again. I think it is quite normal in the creative process. Just keep creating and it will suddenly feel easier, not like a job!!
BTW, I do love your card; in its simplicity it is beautiful!
