Baby Card….

I have a friend who is expecting a new baby son any day now..and this card is for her. I used the sketch from Card Patterns a week ago but never got this posted in time. The giraffe and rabbit were both stamped in bamboo ink and then I painted the images with watercolor crayons and a paint brush!!! Very fun and relaxing. I think all the supplies are CTMH.

I did make another card using the current CP sketch but I am not going to post it as it was a bit of a flub. I showed it to my youngest DD and she said “oh……it’s um OK” I told her it was OK not to like it, as I didn’t, and she replies “oh phew..no, I don’t like it but I didn’t want to hurt your feelings.” :0)

I want to say thanks for all the uplifting comments you guys left me. They were good for me to hear. It doesn’t help that it snowed all day Sunday and has snowed all day today…now the wind is picking up and it’s pretty nasty out. My hubby was supposed to fly out today to ND but the flights to MN were delayed and then cancelled…so here he sits LOL!

I did manage to make one card I was happy with..and I will post it soon yay!!

Take care.

Enjoy!

What an adorable baby card!!! I love the clean look of the colors.
We are getting your storm tonight and hope it isn't to bad. Stay warm and safe.

Sweet baby card, Sarah! I love the blue and white.

Your card is a reminder of yet another item I have in my stash that I've never caught on to using - watercolor crayons! I need a lesson! LOL.

We've had a lot of snow the past couple of days but no storm this far north. Not too cold. No wind, so not so bad.

Stay warm. You're lucky you can stay close to home.

Very cute. Love the buttons. Enjoy the weather. We haven't seen snow since 2005(I think) We had a cool front yesterday lowered the temperature to the high 60's and 70's. We might see some rain this week.

How sweet! Stay inside and warm! Our 100% chance of snow didn't happen, so I'm getting ready for work.

Oh this is such a sweet card! It's so crisp with the blue and white. The buttons look great.

You'll have to show how you painted this. I can't even tell you stamped the images in Bamboo (seriously?) first and then painted the colors. It looks fabulous!

I hope the weather eases up for you. Reminds me of the year we had a blizzard a week for 6 weeks straight! Not fun!

This is a very beautiful card! My neighbors just had a baby boy and *gasp* I let my kids pick out a card from Walmart yesterday! YIKES!

What a sweet card! She's going to love it. Your daughter is so precious not wanting to hurt your feelings. Love that!

We are getting ready for round 2 with another possible 24 inches of snow. My DH built a "luge" in the backyard with the snow from the last storm for the neighborhood kids and I have plenty of hot cooca so I am ready! :)

Very cute baby card, Sarah! I really like the way you added the charm --very creative with the yarn!

Too funny about your DD not 'appreciating' you card. I made two last night using the 'paint by number' sketch at PTI...the color palette I had to use was not really conducive for guy Valentine's cards...so I can definitely feel your pain when things go awry. I may end up showing my 'flubs' anyway...and you should too (we're human remember). ;)

Guess the snow keeping your hubby home could be viewed as a good thing, right? (or not? -lol)

As for the fort business...let's just say you're a nicer mom than I am because I make my kids clean up their own messses these days. ;P

Very sweet! Love how you used the buttons for the sketch. You should post your other card anyway. Sometimes you never know. I have had a couple that I didn't like at all and they were some to get the most comments. :D
