Thank You Card….

So with all that snow outside I really wanted to do something summery and green. I started out trying to follow some sketches and color combos but I gave up and did my own thing….why force it if it isn’t working.  My card is inspired by this Boom-Di-Ada patterned paper from CTMH.  My challenge to myself was to recreate the Pattern using only cardstock and stamps. Even the green is cardstock stamped with a background stamp to mimic the paper. The stitching is faux and there are lots of foam dots and tape for dimension.  All product is CTMH.  I used Cottage Floral and Spot On Background stamp sets. I also used a couple of punches.

Hope this brightens your day if you are suffering the midwinter blues like we are here in Iowa…the temps are struggling to get above zero for the highs and the snow is piled high! The birds at the feeder are SO puffed up and hungry.

Thanks for all the comments you left me on the Unscripted Blog Hop…I take it you all got a kick out of my photo LOL. Take care, keep warm, and thanks for dropping by.

Enjoy!

Beautiful card! I recently 're-discovered' Boom-di-ada when I pulled it out of the stash for a Christmas project for my neice!! Totally love it!

Morning Sarah,

Beautiful card - love those cheery colors! Thankfully, I'm not yet feeling blue, though that may happen soon as it has been VERY cold here the past 5 or so days. It is -22c right now, but feels like -33c and the high is -12 (which is higher than its been for days!) Wishing you a WARM winter day! Cheers,
Shanna :)
