A Simple Thank You Card…..

That took me wayyyyy too long to complete.

I stamped this image four times in Desert Sand ink (CTMH) . I colored one with Prismacolor Watercolor pencils, one with CTMH pencils and OMS, one I screwed up (ha ha), and the last one I left blank on the Colonial White CS (CTMH). I didn’t like the colored images but I did like the effect of the Desert Sand left plain like that. The image is a wooden stamp I got cheap from a friend who is downsizing.  I then mounted it on some light kraft CS and added a ribbon. That was the other part of the process that took FOREVER…I must have messed about with 5 different ribbons tied in all kinds of ways ….but I just wasn’t happy.  THEN I couldn’t decide on a sentiment AND where to put it….It ended up inside the card on a little pocket I made for a gift card. Do you have those days??? Then when you are done you think HOW could this card have taken so long?  The card is for the wonderful lady, who lives up the street,  that comes down to my house with her snow blower and clears my very steep driveway and entirely too long sidewalks!!!

Hope you are all having a wonderful day.

Stay warm and toasty.

Enjoy!

Okay, your "simple" is always anything but - I would define it instead as very elegant and beautiful. And yes, I have days like those too :-)

Sarah this card is so beautiful. I love that you did not color the image. It works perfectly with the soft color combination. One of my favorite cards!! Love it!

What a gorgeous card! It was totally worth the time and effort, and I'm sure your neighbor will appreciate it. I love how classy the Colonial White, Desert Sand, and touch of gold look. I can't wait to try this combo myself.

Isn't that the way it always is Sarah? I will spend sooo much time on a card, and then when it's done...it doesn't look like I've got 10 minutes in it!

Anyway...I absolutely love the simplicity of this one...it's classy and elegant! She's going to love it!

OMG!!! This is BEAUIFUL Sarah! It would also make a really nice sympathy card. I am going to have to CASE this one with one of the new CTMH stamp sets if you don't mind.
