A Few Super Simple Christmas Cards…

034

035 037

Over at Moxie Fab World Cath is challenging us to make a Christmas themed card with stamping...Well these are ultra simple but I think they count.

These were really very quick and simple…but what can I say..I LOVE kraft, bling and felt LOL. I NEED to use up my stash! The idea to score the cardstock came from Laurel and Kathi both of whom I have seen do this. It doesn’t show up in the picture so much. The other thing you can’t see real well is the Stickles used in various places on the stamped sentiments and the Prisma Glitter on the snowflake. OHHHH and the little window was inspired by this card by Cibele of Flower Foot designs. If you haven’t been over there then you have missed out. She is an amazing paper crafter and a beautiful person!

Supplies: Kraft CS LSS, Felt Die cuts CTMH, Bling CTMH, Star Brad CTMH, ribbon CTMH, Snowflake Martha Stewart Punch, sentiment CTMH’s October SOTM.

Well I hope you are enjoying your holiday weekend. My kids and I have started our countdown to the arrival of my parents. This is the ONLY extended family my kids have. My brother and sister are in the UK along with their kids, therefore my guys have no real contact with aunts and uncles and cousins. SO this visit from my parents is the highlight of their year, beating out Christmas in the ‘most anticipated day of the year’ list LOL. (there is no contact with hubby’s side of the family.) So for those of you who have your family close…you are lucky! Don’t take them for granted. Family is precious.

Yes Kathi I am lucky to have all these stores!!! I cracked up at Kathi's comment yesterday and Laurel's. Both of these things I have said before...especially the 'rubber' one. Another one would be 'lay the table' for 'set the table' ha ha.

Sept 14th is ‘D’ day…and they are here for 3 1/2 weeks. SOOOO there will be a definite lack of blogging and commenting…I know you will all forgive me :-)

Have a safe Monday!

Enjoy!

These are so great Sarah. I especially love the snowflake one peeking out of the punched circle. I need to get some of those felt shapes.

How exciting about your parents' visit. The fact that the anticipation beats out that of Christmas Day truly speaks to the relationships that you and they have. Wondeful.

Enjoy the holiday!

I love your cards! I am of course partial to the window card (thanks for the kind words and mention).

How exciting to have your parents over. I know what you mean about family being so important. What wonderful memories you will create.

I am loving that felt - fun cards! Enjoy that grandparent visit! I understand. My folks are 17 hrs. away and the time they spend with my children is golden. In the eyes of my boys, my parents walk on water! They are far apart much of the time, but thry have a very special & unique relationship. Hey, how many grandparents do you know that literally "move right in" when they come to visit?! I truly think it takes their relationship to a different level - though it does come with it's challenges, esp. for their adult children. (read discipline...) Smile, wink...
Enjoy,
Shanna

Very simple but striking cards. Love the use of the kraft again. I don't think you can ever go wrong with kraft. your felt is just adorable! Love them! You'd probably crack up at my accent too. I'm very much a southern belle in accent.
Blessings,

These are really nice CAS cards. Kraft is just wonderful isn't it?

Enjoy the time with your parents. Mine live 30 miles away but we rarely see them more than once a month and when we do it is for no more than 2 hours!! And hubby's come about 4 times a year for 3-4 days. Guess everyone has their own style!

Another beauty, Sarah. Love the simplicity and sparkle.

I hear you on the family ties. We live out of state from our families and so, only see my dad when he comes to visit. We make trips to Sioux Falls, so the girls know their uncles and aunts and cousins a bit. I grew up out of state from my relatives, so I probably don't know just what I've missed out on. I can appreciate how special it is to have family so close. In the meantime, we make our own bonds.

Love your cards, Sarah! I can't even pick a favorite. As for simple, my stamping for the next few days is either going to be simple or non-existent! LOL.

Enjoy the time with your parents! With so much family close by, I sometimes take them for granted. I shouldn't. Thanks for the reminder.
Again, enjoy your time!
