Last month Beth over at Inky Fingers Rule and I swapped some stamped images through the mail. Beth wanted some Anya and Ketto images and she sent me some Ketto’s I don’t have and some Doodle factory images! This is a GREAT way of trying out some images without buying the stamps. Thanks Beth! I finally got to use one of the Ketto’s she sent me. I needed a Birthday card and she worked just great. I also am inspired by Beth’s AMAZING cards, so this one was definitely influenced by Beth’s style…..without all the amazing cutting and stamping she does.  There is a LOT of sparkle on this card…and I did manage to get one photo with a little glint on it :0) I took the photo on my deck rail with my Mandevilla plant next to it….love those pink blooms. The circles are cut with Nesties and I used Bazzil Bling CS. The vellum with stars on it is some Disney paper I picked up at Archiver’s. The sentiment is stamped on the reverse side of the Bazzil CS using CTMH Fringed Phrases. The images and sentiment are colored with Copics and Sakura glitter pens. The wings and tip of the crown are filled with CTMH Prisma Glitter. The inside  is some more Bazzil Bling cut using the Candles punch from (I think) EK Success. I put the 3 pearls in the top corner as it was missing something and 4 circles just didn’t look right. It still doesn’t quite work to my eye but I am leaving it at that.

Thanks so much Beth!!! I am so inspired by your art!

On another note…want a chuckle….Read this post….by Wendi Aarons,  I thought this was SOOOOOO funny, it is her description on how to put sunscreen on a toddler.

We had 2 pool parties that were cancelled yesterday due to strong storms that went through Iowa Sunday…so we are hoping for a makeup one today. Also my new CTMH papers and goodies are supposed to be arriving today!!! Woohooo…still no catty’s yet though :0(

For all of you who are interested in Digital Scrapbooking , here is a little tidbit…How would you like to play with CTMH product in a digital form…..with NO downloads….For free! Well you can soon through My CTMH Website. You only pay for the pages you want printed!!! Interested??? Go visit Studio J and check out the video and FAQ’s. I will keep you posted as I learn more.

Well I think I have rambled enough! Have a wonderful Monday!

Enjoy!

Hope your day was a good one! We're having a little summer this week - temperatures in the 80s and maybe 90s. Finally... Have a great evening, friend!

Another magical card! My daughter is out of the princess/fairy phase but there was a time when she would have just flipped over this one. The funny thing is there will be a time later in her life when, like me, she will again (I hope). :)

This little angel/fairy is the CUTEST thing EVER!!!! You never, never, never fail me in inspiration...I'll going to go copy this one now...although my image won't be near as adorable.

My trip went well. I hadn't been back in 19 years so I really didn't remember that many people, but there were a handful that I was really happy to see.
