Blogging Friends are The BEST…..

024

This card uses The new Sweet Home Papers from CTMH and I had fun making it….I also stamped and cut up a storm! I Love the little house stamps in this set!  It is the Neighborhood SS (set of 20) from CTMH.  The card is a 6x6 size . I didn’t have any buttons that matched the paper so I cut some paper and backed it on to some clear buttons with LG.

Supplies: Sweet Home Lv 2 PP CTMH, Neighborhood SS CTMH, Olive, Indian Corn Blue, Heavenly Blue and Garnet Inks CTMH, Waxy Flax CTMH, Clear Buttons CTMH….Foam tape and pop dots.

OK I have more to share with you…first, for the knitters out there among you, is a picture of the gift my Mom sent from the UK to my hubby. Hubby has recently taken up golf and he asked her to knit him some club covers! The stripes on the side denote the # of the club..I think LOL.

Aren’t they hilarious!!! He just loves them.

OK on to the reason for my blog post title….My heart was so lifted yesterday..even my hubby was impressed and it takes a LOT to impress him…As you know my hubby was recently laid off and I posted it on here. I have been struggling with good days and bad days and I asked for your prayers! Well in the mail yesterday came not one but TWO cards from people I call my blogging friends! I was SOOO heartened! Wonderful cards and messages from wonderful people. I hope they don’t mind me posting their cards here and names  in thanks! I can’t tell you guys how it made me feel.

This card from Alanna

and this card from Jeanne

I am blessed with some wonderful blogging friends..and I am so thankful! Also to all the people who offered to help when I thought I wasn’t going to get my catalogs! I am blown away by the kindness I have been shown!

The word ‘Thanks’ just doesn’t seem enough….now I have to sign off before the tears in my eyes start to run down my face….

Thanks!

Your card is darling Sarah. I'm intimidated by that stamp set but you've definitely pulled it off.

Second, the golf club covers are so cute. How fun.

Third, you're so sweet to post the cards. I'm glad you got mine. I just wanted to let you know I was thinking of you and wishing you a good day. Here's hoping that there are more good days than bad coming up.

OK. I'm NOT the golfer...but the club covers are the GREAT...I could use those on my runs in the winter...my hands just might stay warm when it's 3 degrees outside and I have to run 8 miles :)

I'm so glad I'm not the only that likes to surprise people in the mail. This blogging stuff really is pretty neat...you meet the neatest peeps :)

Your card is great, Sarah! I'm loving that set, too, although I have yet to get my mitts on it. Soon!

The cards from Jeanne and Alanna are beautiful, and yes, I'll have to agree, blogging friends are the best - yourself included. Take care, pal! What's hard right now will someday be a memory that will most likely leave you a better person for having gone through it.

Almost forgot... the head covers are great. I used to golf and hubby still does. He'd love 'em, too! Your mom did a great job.

I meant to post a comment yesterday, but came to your blog just as we had to get ready to head out the door to get the girls to school. Then I didn't get back to blogs. Sigh...

Anyway, wanted to tell you that I almost gasped when I looked at this card, it's gorgeous! You did a fantastic job (and that's why I feel bad I didn't get to say this yesterday). LOVE it!

Those club covers are fabulous! Your mom is very talented! Got a big grin from seeing those. TFS

Thanks for posting your RAKs, I'm so glad you enjoyed them and they lifted your spirits for just a bit. You are very deserving of all the good things that come your way.

Hugs!!!

Great cards!

I'll have to let my friend who knits about the golf covers - she'll have to try it!

Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog - it means all the more to me knowing you're going through such a rough time! :)
