Simple Birthday Cards…

These are such pretty but busy stamps I decided to keep them simple and clean. The first one I colored with Copics the second one with Sakura Stardust pens, so it is very glittery. The sun was shining so I decided to not use my lightbox to take the pics. I think it was actually too bright…because I am not happy with them…too much contrast even though I edited them. Anyways kept them simple , hope you like :0) The SS is piece of Cake from CTMH.

The snow is melting so we went to the lake and threw bread to the seagulls that have arrived. I am used to seagulls being very forward and taking the food right from your hands…but these guys were skittish…but it was fun!! If I close my eyes and listen to them I almost feel I am back home on the Island at the beach, instead of landlocked in Iowa.

I love the cards. I wasn't a huge fan of this set for the same reason...too busy but I like what you did here.

Sorry you guys still have all that snow. We have finally melted and this weekend was gorgeous in the weather department - 70's. I'll see if I can send it your way. :)

Your coloring and cards are so pretty! I do NOT envy you all that snow. Enjoy thoughts of the beach instead of the ice/snow!

This set is becoming one of my favs. Love your "simple" cards. Like the grouping with the popped cakes. You always make such nice cards. I love the snow. Of course I can say that living in sunny Florida.

Snow this time of year, Mother Nature likes to stick her tounge out at us sometimes, doesn't she? I'm glad you got some sun today and were able to feed the seagulls. Looks like lots of fun!
YOu birthday card is perfect. Love the stamped images and the dimesion. It plays at Penny's this week!
Blessings,

Awesome cards as usual! Hard to believe you got more snow on the first day of Spring. Poor thing! We have sure had our share this past winter and deserved the last 6 days of 70 degree weather we just had. Back to reality tomorrow, I think.

Your cards are perfect for those cake stamps - colored to perfection!

Wow! You have a lot more snow that we do. That's not to say we won't be getting more one of these days, however. Anything can happen in the frozen tundra. Love the photos of the seagulls. What a fun outing!

Have a great week, Sarah.

Hi Sarah! Love how you "layered" those cakes - fab idea! Wow, check out that snow! Sorry to say that we don't have ANY left - very rare here.
Cheers,
Shanna :)

OH Sarah, those cards are super duper duper cute!!! I love that SS and you did a great job coloring them!!!! Love the snowy pictures too. We don't get snow here but once every 6 years or so so I'm gonna live vicariously through your pics!!!

Simple and sweet. I love them. The cakes popping out was a nice touch. I don't have any copics yet, it is on the list. So many things but have to behave myself. Ha ha!
Maybe you can help with my dilemma?
Stamp storage is the issue. If you have any great ideas pop on over to my blog and tell me how you do it.
Thanks so much

These cards are fabulous! And coming from the South Texas coast, it is weird to see seagulls with show in the same picture--lol!

Simply stunning cards, Sarah! Love the colors!!

Dang, you DO have a lot of snow to melt. But love the pictures of the seagulls. Reminds me of home, too, when my mom would take us to the beach in CA. They look just a tad out of place on the frozen water! LOL
