SK sketch 20 US sketch 45

Another Saturday and that means another fun sketch from Unscripted Sketches…. Nice and simple this sketch so I can’t wait to see what you do with it. I actually didn’t deviate from the sketch this week!

All supplies except the kraft cs is CTMH. I finally had a go at one of those cute flowers…better late than never!

Have a glorious Saturday and enjoy your weekend….spring is coming!

Smile….it’s nearly spring!!!! Does this remind you of the feel of the warm spring sun on your face and the beuatiful flowers that it coaxes out of the earth?…Well that was my inspiration with this card. The sun is shining, the temps climbed above freezing and I finally see some patches of grass under the several feet of snow that have blanketed Iowa since December.  For this card I used some kraft CS, some K & CO DP, PTI stamp set, K & CO  flower embellies, CTMH CS, Ink, buttons, waxy flax and ribbon.

Thanks again for all the encouraging words, thoughts and prayers sent my way…although I am not back to normal I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I still have very little energy and am  not right..but my cough seems to be lessening.  I am SO ready for spring and fresh air :0)

Hope you all have a marvelous Thursday…yay tomorrow is FRIDAY!

Enjoy!

I cannot tell you how much I love these clear stamp images from Inkadinkado…Gorgeous!!!. I touched up this butterfly with some glitter from my Sakura glitter pen and some white with the Gelly roll pen… IRL it glitters.  The patterned paper is Basic Grey and  and ribbon and sentiment CTMH. Ink is Versafine black. I used a template to add the piercing around the image and some foam tape to pop up the butterfly/fairy image.

This card is for you…my followers and regular readers and commenters…I have been at this nearly a year now and I would not have imagined close to 20,000 hits and over 100 followers!!! Thank You!

It takes me about 1-2 hours every day to look at and comment on everyone’s blogs..!!!! I have realized that I just cannot do this every day. So I have decided look every day on reader and to comment every 2-3 days instead. I really hope you understand bear with me. I am so grateful for the friends I have made this last year…people who have touched my life that I would never have known if it were not for the internet, blogging, and sharing of art.

Thank You So Much my friends…we have been through a lot …..

Enjoy!

Inside the card….DSC_0001

OK, these were ULTRA simple even for me ha ha!!! BUT they were quick and easy and fun :0) . My DD says the heart that’s all broken doesn’t look like a valentines but a broken heart card…she is probably right !  The hearts were either punched or cut with my Sizzix and they are all pop dotted. The last 2 photos are the inside and outside of the same card. I think that on wins the prize for my most minimalist card ever!

Here are some more valentines I was playing about with. I used some more embossing paste with prisma glitter this time..

The hearts are VERY sparkly in real life…as is most of my craft space too . I am not liking these too much…I should have used a softer grey.

Well we are recovering from another blizzard here…pretty bad one actually with lots of accidents and roads closed. The wind was terrible…and the snow made conditions dreadful. You know it is bad when the close the interstate and pull the plow drivers off the roads. We were fortunate that we didn’t loose power and of course no snow days for homeschool kids :0)

I see I have reached 100 followers..I  am floored, amazed, grateful, gob smacked (British word), and just truly blessed. I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart and a big thanks too, to everyone who leaves me comments. I will have to see what I can rustle up in the way of some candy so stay tuned.

Enjoy!

A Few Clean And Simple Kraft Cards…

I think I may be overdoing the SIMPLE LOL…..but I just love the look of ink on cardstock and single layer cards.  The first card uses kraft CS and one of my new SS from PTI. I embossed the flower with white detail EP. The second card I used a wood stamp that was on sale at HL and colored the hearts with my Copics and Sakura stardust pens, so IRL it is very glittery. The third one also used some of my new PTI stamps the ones designed for buttons. I have to say this is my first time ever using their stamps and they are well worth the investment…very superior stamped images.

I will leave you with a picture of our Christmas and New Years Eve treat to ourselves……(Hubby and moi)

This is one of the best champagne’s I have ever tasted…! It runs about $60 a bottle, if you don’t get the hand painted one with the glasses like we do. YUM!

Thanks SO MUCH for all your comments…you just have no idea how much they mean to me and how they make this all worthwhile!!! You guys rock!

Enjoy!
