Mojo Monday #117 on Wednesday…

Mojo117Sketch

This is for the Mojo Sketch #117. Again I used my  little tree made from quarter circles cut with a punch. On this one though, it is all glittery (as I smudged my stickles and decided to just go with it LOL). I promise that this one looks so much nicer IRL. We have a busy Wednesday ahead of us so I will keep this short. All CS is CTMH..with some Ranger distress ink added. MS border punch and Stickles for glitter. Sentiment is CTMH as is the ribbon.  Those little trees are fun to make! Someone has probably come up with this before but for me it’s a new technique LOL!

Enjoy your Wednesday.

Oh Christmas Tree…

DSC_0028

OK I promised myself I wouldn’t make another Christmas card…but I am addicted. In this one I cut out the Nestie shape and used the leftover as the window. The green CS is pop dotted off the white card base . The tree is was made using circles punched out of the CS and then cut into quarters and lined with some stickles. Two buttons to finish it off. The CS is CTMH..the green is textured. I didn’t even stamp a sentiment as I am HOPING this looks like a Christmas tree…I think I may stamp a little sentiment and add it to the bottom corner. I am getting lazy LOL.

I hope you are all staying warm…we are a bit chilly here tonight at 0 degrees and a nasty windchill.

Enjoy!

Oh the weather outside is FRIGHTFUL, but my scrapspace is SO delightful…I gonna’ go downstairs and stamp…Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Hee hee hee..!  Do you have a favorite??? Mine is the first one I think. I love white on white.

Some of the goodies I used. Plus some  card stock , a Cuttlebug snowflakes embossing folder, ribbon, and CTMH Glitter brad.

Who says a blizzard is a bad thing!

It finally stopped snowing here..after about 36 hours and we have 40 mph-60 mph gusts. This is really as bad as I have seen it here in Iowa. Well over a foot of snow. It’s the wind that is the killer though.

I think tomorrow will be spent digging out from under all this…so take care and stay safe and warm!!!

Mojo #116 Card

DSC_0015

Mojo116

Hmmmmm….I don’t know..bit too busy for me.  I LOVED Mojo’s sketch this week and I had fallen in love with this Penny Black wooden stamp at my LSS. So I tried to combine them.  I did the crystal wreath 3 ways…with ink, gold embossed, and with Perfect Pearls. IRL this is very glittery and shimmery. But all together??? Paper is CTMH Aspen, MS snowflake punch, Glitter brad CTMH, ribbon CTMH, Stampendous stickers, and Stickles. Oh can I say it is REALLY hard to line up a wooden stamp in the center of a circle…LOVE my clear stamps.

Well it has snowed all night and all day…we have well over a foot of snow and it is still coming down.  Now the wind is picking up visibility is almost zero. I had to go out earlier but now we are hunkered down. I can’t see anyone going out unless it is an emergency. When hubby lost his job and we lost the company car we had to buy a new one. I can honestly say I am SO GLAD we bought a Jeep 4x4 Commander…that sucker rolled right through the nasty roads with out any trouble whatsoever.

A pic of our tree :0)

Well if you have had the snow I hope you are recovered, if you are getting the snow…hang in there..If the snow is headed your way…watch out LOL , it’s a doozy.

Stay safe and warm everyone.

Enjoy!

Some Kraft Christmas Cards..

I haven’t played with kraft paper in a while so I pulled some out and got to work. I have been wanting to do some quilt style cards  after seeing all the awesomeness over at Who Is Tracy Blog. The  third card is a SUPER simple one using a strand of leaves and berry covered wire I found at Walmart in their Christmas wrapping section for $2.50!! I was also playing with those  thin Cuttlebug folders! They do leave lines though.

The papers are DCWV, kraft paper from HL, Stickles, Holiday red ink CTMH, Sentiment stamp CTMH, White Gelly roll pen, and some Nesties.

I really love the red and green with the kraft…and the fact you can use so many patterns in a quilt card. Next time I will not place the squares so far apart.

Thanks as always for all your lovely comments, they always make me so happy!!

We are supposed to be getting blizzard conditions here in Iowa over the next 2 days with 7-12 inches of snow and 30-50 mph winds. Lets hope the weather men are WRONG….brrrrr.

Keep safe and Enjoy!

Two Simple Christmas Cards

DSC_0005

DSC_0010

DSC_0006 DSC_0009

These 2 cards were really simple…BUT still took me a while to get them’ just so’…kind of ridiculous seen as they are SOOOO simple. Those trees are actually embossed in silver, as are the sentiments..and look really pretty IRL.

Supplies: All CTMH. White Daisy, grey Flannel, Grey Wool CS, Four Seasons, Say it In Style, and Festive Frills SS. Silver embossing powder.

I was over at Mere’s blog and read that one of her favorite bloggers had been diagnosed with cancer and was having surgery today. She asked that if you are a believer in the power of prayer that maybe we could pray for Kelley (you can read her story here) and form a prayer chain by posting this on our blogs. Read the details HERE. She is offering some blog candy for this cause BUT I am doing it because I have had people praying for me and I know it makes a difference.

Amy’s Sketch challenge extended until Sunday 6th

I have had several people post cards for Amy’s challenge see deets HERE…and there is candy being offered from me for the card she likes best for her sketch…I have quite a few duplicate SS’s and a WHOLE Tickled Pink set unopened ready to give away, plus some other goodies! I think I will extend the deadline to Sunday the 6th at midday incase anyone else wants to join in ;0)

I hope you are all having a great Monday and are fully recovered from your Thanksgiving festivities.

Enjoy!

This one I didn’t cut out like yesterdays…  I know this is very similar to yesterdays post..but I am loving this stamp.  I don’t know why,  but I seem to make more and more cards these days with cardstock only???? Supplies: White Daisy CS CTMH, Cranberry CS CTMH, New England Ivy Ink CTMH, Copic Marker, Candy Cane Stickles, Red shiny stickers Stampendous, Holiday Trinkets SS CTMH, Cranberry Ink CTMH, Bitty brad CTMH.

I cannot wait for Thanksgiving…funny seen as I am an expat. Brit!!!! However Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays…like Christmas without the gifts.

Stay safe.

Card CASE’d From Cibele…

DSC_0060

DSC_0058

SO I was checking out my fav blogs and came across THIS card from my blogging buddy Cibele at Flower Foot Designs blog. It took my breath away….AND there is a GREAT tutorial on how to do the ribbon. Well I didn’t have any nice green ribbon..but I did have the wreath stamp, so I totally CASE’d her card. I am not good at making cards in bulk but I made 4 of these and 4 others using the same stamp. Took me FOREVER…esp all the coloring, cutting, and sticking on of all those little sticker thingies. I am a 1 card a night Gal LOL. Hope you don’t mind me copying you Cibele but I just LOVED your card. This will also do for Sparkle’s Christmas card challenge this week yeah!!!

Supplies: Colonial White CS CTMH, Old Paper Distress ink Ranger, Wreath wooden stamp Stampendous, little red shiny sticker thingies Stampendous, Copic, Stickles, Olive ink CTMH, Bigger brad CTMH.

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend and are keeping safe if you are already travelling. I thought I would share a few Lego battle pics from my son’s hard work on his birthday. You just HAVE to LOVE Lego’s for inspiring creativity and imagination as well as manual dexterity and following instructions (not so well for Mom ). The pride my son has on his face after he has completed a project all by himself is priceless. He got a Wii and a DS game…but he went first to the Lego’s.

Hello Saturday, and hello to another Unscripted Sketch. This one is nice and simple, just how I like them. Sorry you have yet another white and blue Christmas card :( ,I just can’t help myself. This one uses Miss Anya from TGF and some CTMH papers Sweet Home…not really Christmas paper but I really liked how it looked with this image. I loved these little glittery little white embellies along the bottom too…not sure of where I picked them up, maybe Hobby Lobby.

Something new at Unscripted started last week.. we are introducing a new blinkie for being the 1st person to upload their project to Mr. Linky. Grab the blinkie in the sidebar if you are lightening quick! We’re also happy to announce that each week we’ll be choosing a random winner for those who have posted their link to Mr. Linky. You’ll have until 6 p.m. EST this Thursday to post your link to Mr. Linky in order to be considered for the drawing. The winner will be announced next Saturday. Mojo #111

DSC_0039

Mojo111Sketch

Well hello all and happy Wednesday to you. I have had SO little time to be creative lately, but I did manage a little time in my spot today. I decided to do a Mojo card as I really loved the sketch. I also went against my ‘blue’ streak lately and went ‘green’.  I treated myself to some TGF stamps and papers the other day and I just LOVE this one. With a 13 yr old daughter these Miss Anya’s really are a ‘have to own’ set. I think I may give this one to her for Christmas. Oh, and the gray in the card really is glittery IRL.

Supplies: White Daisy CS CTMH, DP The Greeting Farm, CTMH December Word Puzzle CTMH, Miss Anya Rain, Snow, Shine SS TGF, Topiary Ink CTMH, Steep and Deep SS CTMH, Clear Sparkles (colored with Copics) CTMH, Martha Stewart Snowflake Punch , Copic Markers,Sakura Stardust glitter pen, Spellbinders Impressibilities, 3M Foam Tape

And here is a little card I played around with while hanging out with my bestest friend …

useme

This is SO simple and is just stamps and CS. I was originally inspired by Hayley’s beautiful card HERE and ended up with this. You know me…loving the simple :-)

Supplies: White Daisy CS CTMH, Treasure Life SS CTMH, Serendipity SS CTMH, Hydrangea, all inks CTMH.

I hope  everyone is having a great week and you are all staying safe and well. We are doing well here and I have to say a MAJOR advantage of home schooling has to be the LACK OF GERMS.  I just have to share another picture before I go..these are my African Violets…and they  keep flowering and flowering….but what I love most about them is their sparkle…sooo pretty.

Have a wonderful night…

Enjoy!
