Christmas Card Using CTMH’s New Glitter Rub-Ons

DSC_0013

Well after seeing the new Art and Soul episode on CTMH TV (check out my website to see the show) I decided that I had to try the new rub-ons . I had avoided them as they looked a little complicated to use. Of course for my first try I had to use the biggest and most complicated rub on :-). After all was said and done it wasn’t too bad although if you look closely you will see some mistakes. The card is very pretty IRL. I put a CTMH glitter brad in the center and some clear sparkles around the edge. The sentiment is also a glitter rub-on. I am glad I finally used them and will do so again…though I will definitely take my time and be more careful next time.  Ohhh and sorry about the blue again.

Supplies : White Daisy CS, Dutch Blue CS, Glitter Rub-Ons, Glitter Brad, Clear sparkles all CTMH.

Here are some pics for those of you with DD’s (darling daughters) ..I finally caved and bought Amy some of those stick on nails for little girls. I got them at Wal-Mart for $4…We put them on and I warned her that they would fall off really quick so not to be disappointed. Well…..they didn’t fall off….in fact they stuck like the dickens and she just LOVED them. She did confess going to the bathroom was a challenge hee hee! Anyways, I was impressed at how well they worked. She finally pulled them off as she said they hurt. But how cute!

(ignore the chocolaty face…Amy is unable to eat anything without it taking up residence there…sigh)

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

Enjoy!

A Few Projects For You….

OK so I kind of lifted this idea from the Archiver’s flyer..but what the heck! I got this Cosmo Cricket Paper on sale at Archivers and have used it once in a card. Other than that I was a little bit intimidated by it…even though I just love it. Then I got the new  flyer in the mail and wayyyyy at the back was this little, itty, bitty picture of a recipe mini album thing that used this paper…ah ha I thought…and I set to work. I had some chipboard and some of those ring things ( I am SO technical it kills me) and with a little help from my Cropadile (anyone else think this looks like an instrument of torture?) I set to work. This is going to be a menu planner for my hubby and kids who are always asking “what’s for dinner?” I figured I would add some cards in there with weekly menus so they can see what we are having without asking me incessantly!!! I also think I will add a 3rd hole and ring thingy in the middle to balance it a little better.

This is the result of me playing around with a brown paper bag and some stamps and some snowflakes! The little tag was fun…My first tag ever. The ‘to’ is stamped in the snowflake. After I was all done I was disappointed with how it turned out…but well I am a big girl and I thought I would share it anyways seen as my posts seem few and far between lately. My Mojo is on hiatus or vacation or something.

I don’t share much on here about my rediscovery of  my faith in the Lord, but it is a journey I have recently undertaken. I am truly blessed in my life and thank God every day for this. I spend an hour on Wednesdays attending a small group at church learning what the Bible tells us is in store for the future. I thought I would give these bookmarks to the other members of the group. I don’t own any scripture stamps from CTMH so these are all rubber stamps and I have to say they don’t like my CTMH inks. That is why my second sentiment is stamped in black. I finally found an ink that matched the chocolate CS that liked my rubber stamp (the first picture). The crosses are embossed in gold and cut out and mounted on foam tape. OK this may be really weird and quirky of me but I use all the leftover bits from those things you push your pop dots out of…(hate to waste anything.)

I don’t have a supply list for you tonight BUT if you are interested please just email me.

I am finding life to be very FULL at the moment and so I am thinking you are going to see twice weekly postings from me from now on. I will aim for Saturday and Wednesdays for the moment.

My daughter swam in her first ever swim meet yesterday. She just turned 13 and only learned to swim a few years ago. She was in swimming lessons this summer.  She really took to swimming and was so proud that she was finally ‘good’ at something.  Her swim instructor suggested joining a swim team, so we did. We go to practice 3 times a week. They are only just learning how to turn and start on the blocks ETC. She can’t even do a dive start. She had to race against kids who have been swimming and training for many years…she swam against girls who were much bigger than her. I don’t have some Cinderella story for you here… She finished last in the 2 events she swam in, but I have never been more proud of her! She never gave up..she did her best and finished the races.  You don’t always have to win to be a winner and you don’t always have to be the best to shine!

Enjoy!

KeriLee sketch 1 US sketch 30

Hey, Hey, Hey…it’s Saturday and that means it’s time for another Unscripted Sketch woohoo. For this weeks Sketch I went with another LO. One thing about being on the Unscripted DT  is that I am getting LO’s done that I wouldn’t normally do.  I just LOVE this unguarded moment I caught on camera of my youngest DD. Usually she is hamming it up for the shot. If you look really closely Leslie…you will see that lovely scarf you sent me, around Amy’s neck!

Although sometimes they drive me crazy, I am truly blessed with all of my children.

Supplies: Paper S.E.I (I think) Thickers stickers,  ribbon blog candy yummies, gold Stickles.

Well this weekend I am going with my two daughters to spend the night in a Strategic Air and Space museum with a bunch of Girl Scouts…hmmm you say…what fun! LOL. I think they will get to use a flight simulator and participate in all kinds of fun stuff. I will fill you in when I get back and maybe share some photos.

Have a safe and fun weekend and don’t forget to check out the Unscripted site for some DT inspiration and have a go at this weeks sketch.

Enjoy!

Mojo111Sketch

Well hello all and happy Wednesday to you. I have had SO little time to be creative lately, but I did manage a little time in my spot today. I decided to do a Mojo card as I really loved the sketch. I also went against my ‘blue’ streak lately and went ‘green’.  I treated myself to some TGF stamps and papers the other day and I just LOVE this one. With a 13 yr old daughter these Miss Anya’s really are a ‘have to own’ set. I think I may give this one to her for Christmas. Oh, and the gray in the card really is glittery IRL.

Supplies: White Daisy CS CTMH, DP The Greeting Farm, CTMH December Word Puzzle CTMH, Miss Anya Rain, Snow, Shine SS TGF, Topiary Ink CTMH, Steep and Deep SS CTMH, Clear Sparkles (colored with Copics) CTMH, Martha Stewart Snowflake Punch , Copic Markers,Sakura Stardust glitter pen, Spellbinders Impressibilities, 3M Foam Tape

And here is a little card I played around with while hanging out with my bestest friend …

This is SO simple and is just stamps and CS. I was originally inspired by Hayley’s beautiful card HERE and ended up with this. You know me…loving the simple :-)

Supplies: White Daisy CS CTMH, Treasure Life SS CTMH, Serendipity SS CTMH, Hydrangea, all inks CTMH.

I hope  everyone is having a great week and you are all staying safe and well. We are doing well here and I have to say a MAJOR advantage of home schooling has to be the LACK OF GERMS.  I just have to share another picture before I go..these are my African Violets…and they  keep flowering and flowering….but what I love most about them is their sparkle…sooo pretty.

Have a wonderful night…
