Butter Carton Template Valentine Treat Box….

DSC_0020

DSC_0024 DSC_0023

So I was cooking with butter and I grabbed the box and emptied out the sticks and was about to throw the box in the recycle bin…and LOL inspiration hit. I disassembled the box and created a template with it. It was really easy, so easy in fact that I felt daring enough to cut a window in one of the sides. So there you have it…free template from a butter carton. I used some CS from my stash, That’s Amore PP from CTMH, ribbon also from my stash, sentiment CTMH, Tulip ink CTMH. I used the clear bit in the front of a paper cd sleeve to cover my window…now if there was any candy left in the house I could fill it :0)

This fits the challenge from Get Sketchy…which is Trash to Treasure.

And possibly the Template challenge from Just Us girls challenge Blog

Have a wonderful Sunday my friends I hope you all stay safe and warm.

Enjoy.

Round Gift Bag….

021

022

This would be perfect for a house warming gift. On my little getaway my friend Jessica brought her Cricut Expression…with the Plantin’ Schoolbook Cartridge (I think)…and one of the things that this cuts are these CUTE little round gift bags. I used some of the new fall papers from CTMH called Sweet Home. I borrowed a bit from one of the images in the new catalog and this is what I came up with.

Supplies: CTMH Sweet Home Lv 2 PP, CTMH Welcome Home SS, CTMH Buttercup,Garnet,Heavenly Blue, and Indian Corn Blue Inks, CTMH Brads, some pop dots.

This was a ton of fun to make. Thanks Jessica for letting me use the heck out of your new Cricut!  I hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday, the weather here in Iowa is just beautiful.

On a personal front I find I am cycling through some major ups and downs…some days it doesn’t feel too bad and others it is like the weight of the world is pressing down on me. I don’t know if this is ‘normal’ in our situation, but I am having a hard time with these extreme mood swings. Ok, thanks for letting me unload once again. As the very wonderful Jeanne says if you lasted this long in the post thanks for listening.

Have a wonderful Sunday.

Enjoy!

A quick post with some artwork…

001

003

004

005

I was inspired to create this little  card box after seeing the fantastic one that Carla made over at Carla Creates.  In fact she did two..here and here…You HAVE to go over and check out her blog, she is SOOO talented. The link to the template is here. I don’t know what I did wrong but I had to enlarge the lid by 1/4 of an inch to get it to fit over the top of the box. Other than that it was very easy. This is supposed to be a card that is incognito as a box…great idea! My friend did one as a Halloween treat box..such a cool idea, and perfect to add a little candy inside.

Supplies: CTMH Bella Lv 2 PP, Colonial White CS CTMH, Fringed Phrases SS CTMH, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, CTMH Button.

I will have my Unscripted Sketches work posted early tomorrow, then  I will post some of the stuff I worked on while I was away. I even did some LO’s!!!! Thanks for checking in. Stay safe.

Ohhh BTW Unscripted Sketches is having a DT call so go check it out.

Enjoy!

Quickie Teacher Gift….

004

005 006

This was SO quick It really doesn’t warrant a whole post LOL.

I started with a blank green pot from Wal-Mart (I really don’t live there honest.) and decorated it. I am here to say CTMH’s Rub-Ons attach to shiny ceramic plant pots! The Flower is cut with the Cricut and embossed with the Cuttlebug. The You’re Special sentiment is yet another Rub-On. I use that sentiment a lot as it is SO versatile….and can be used for just about anything.

Supplies:

Cardstock: Colonial White and Sweet leaf CTMH

Other Rub-Ons CTMH, Cricut , Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.

Hope you are having a great Friday. I am off for another weekend camp with the Girl Scouts and my girls…Hopefully I will be back to post Monday.

Enjoy!

Treat Holder Using CTMH retired Fancy Cuts Baskets

I ordered these Fancy Cuts Baskets from CTMH's online sale a while back and thought I would have a go at making something with them.

I distressed the box with some bamboo ink then stamped the Intrinsic Background Stamp around the basket. I stamped one of the Kanji Phrases on the little tag. I wrapped the Hershey's nuggets in some thin slivers of the Unforgettable PP secured with a glue dot.

These ended up as gifts to say thanks to the wonderful friends that join me for my workshops.
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Mine was spent working so I am beat.
I want to thank Rachel for my first ever blog award TAH DAH!!!
I find it hard to believe that she counts my blog as a frequent visit BUT I am very happy. You have to go visit her blog Wonderfully Whimsy it is SO good. You can find a link at the bottom of my fav blog lists (on the bottom ONLY because it is alphabetical).
Enjoy!

Triangle Treat Box

These cute little boxes were inspired by Jen here at Jens scrappy pages.

So I built my makeshift light box and am still experimenting with the camera and settings...I am clawing my way up the learning curve.

Here are my flowerpot flowers in the better light of my homemade light box.

And thanks to Jeanne for pointing out you don't actually have to EAT the suckers to get the sticks..LOL. Ohhhh but you do when you want them now now now .

Enjoy!

My Creations Cube using Unforgettable and March SOTM

I Love these cubes and this is one I did using the Unforgettable Paper Packet and our upcoming March Stamp of The Month. Do you have any visits to botanical centers or butterfly pics to scrap? These are the perfect papers and stamp set to use! These pics were taken on a visit to Reiman Gardens in Ames, Iowa in the fall. It was gorgeous there. We went and sat with the butterflies twice as the kids were enthralled. So many pics, so little time. Enjoy!
