Cupcakes….

OK I was shopping at Wal-Mart like I do on an all too frequent basis and what should accidently fall into my shopping cart BUT a new Martha Stewart punch!!! How in the heck did that happen? It is a cupcake punch and we fell in love as soon as we saw each other! So here is my card for tonight. Simple and pink and yummy. I made it first with the ribbon and pin, but decided it looked better without the extra ‘stuff’…what do you gals think?

Supplies: Kraft CS LSS, DP DCWV The Stack 6, Pearls Hobby Lobby, Baby Pink ink CTMH, Blush Ric Rac CTMH, Chipboard Flower CTMH, Thicker’s sticker.

OK I have to share this blog with you…Allison and I went there yesterday and boy did we CRACK UP! If you follow Cake Wrecks you may have been there already…but just in case you haven’t..Go check out Wendi Aarons here. This post about summer by the numbers….and this post about swimsuits are both really funny.

I hope you are having a wonderful Friday…the kids and I spent the afternoon at the pool so everyone is worn out.

Enjoy!

A Little Pink Card…

 004

I decided to go a little pink tonight…and I think it looks great with kraft. The tree is cut from DCWV patterned paper and then I cut out an extra trunk and pop dot it on top, I like the effect. I used one of the new Spellbinders Borderabilities Tulip that I won the other day. I liked the little tulip shapes that punched out so much I incorporated them in the card. (PS if the tree looks a little beat up, it’s because I dropped it on the floor after it was all ready to go on the card then rolled over it with my chair!!!!!!! I was too lazy to start from scratch.)

Supplies:kraft CS Hobby Lobby, Blush CS CTMH, DP DCWV The Stack 6, Embroidery floss, Buttons CTMH, Sentiment Hero Arts, Hollyhock ink CTMH,  Sakura Gelly Roll glitter pens Rose Star and Pink Star, Spellbinders Borderabilities Tulip.

I have been so busy the last couple of days, it was all I could do to squeeze a card in LOL. I just got back from picking up a quarter of a cow that we bought, all 229 lbs of it! I have since learned that this is a LOT of meat and it nearly filled our downstairs freezer. So very cost effective though. My husband asked for liver (gross I don’t eat it.) and the heart…What am I going to do with a heart????? I guess I could thaw it and use it as a teaching moment….Oh yes..I almost forgot…we got the tongue too! Any ideas on what to do with these cow bits would be greatly appreciated. Oh and Kathi…it is a Minnesota cow so I am sure it will be extra yummy :-)

You have to check  these mini albums out. A fellow CTMH consultant called Wendy made them for Girl Scouts and they are soooo cute. Please leave her a nice comment it will make her day.

Thanks for ALL the great comments on my Mojo card the other day..I think I am up to 30, a new record for me. I appreciate each and every one.

I hope you are all having a wonderful Thursday!

Enjoy Friends!

I am a Bad Blogger….

And Jeanne unknowingly called me on it!!!!

No art today because summer life happened :-)

But I did feel I owe you Jeanne and Kathi an apology. I posted a kraft card yesterday that had some Cuttlebug embossing and glitter. I think I wrote that I had seen some cards like this in the blogosphere. Well Jeanne..it was yours and Kathi’s cards I had seen. I was tired, it was getting late, and hubby wanted to watch a movie with me and I was trying to finish up my blog post quickly listening to his ‘sighs’. I didn’t take the time to hyperlink the cards. I apologize to Jeanne and Kathi I should have taken the time to link their cards.

Kathi’s card is here

Jeanne’s card is here

I hope you guys will forgive me!

Simple Kraft and Cuttlebug cards…

011

007

Both of these cards were inspired by Meredith Over at Mere’s Lair. It is the second card in her post here so scroll down. I thought it was a great idea to run kraft through a Cuttlebug folder. On the first card I wimped out and added the bow to the ribbon…looking at it now I wished I would have tied it like the second one. The second one I was trying the glue and glitter method I have seen on several blogs. That is, in fact, glitter you see there. Martha Stewart glitter, that looks more like white embossing powder than glitter, sigh.…all I can say is..it’s harder than it looks LOL. Oh well you live and learn.

Supplies: Kraft CS, White Daisy CS, Ribbon from Joann’s, Martha Stewart Glitter, Cuttlebug embossing folders, Bamboo ink CTMH, Sentiment CTMH.

Well I have pretty much given up on surfing with IE anymore. More than half the time it locks up with certain blogs. I switched to Google chrome and I have to say I like it.  There is probably a newer version but I never like to mess with things that are working on my computer  anymore …It usually screws it up!

I hope you are all having a wonderful Tuesday.

Enjoy!

Mojo Monday #94

Mojo94Sketch

So here is my card for Mojo Monday #94. This one was a very enjoyable to do. I think it also qualifies for the Pile It On challenge as it uses 3 different embellies..ribbon, buttons and embroidery floss. I will say that ribbon was one of the CTMH ribbons with the stitching through the middle I just held on to the stitching and scrunched up the ribbon…EASY..however affixing it to the card…NOT SO EASY! I had to foam tape the heck out of my other layers to get them above the ribbon :-)

ETA: This card also qualifies for Flourishes Newsletter Timeless Tuesday! Challenge..To cut it out and pop it up...and boy did I LOL cut the images from the DP and popped the heck out of it!

Supplies: Papers DCWV The Stack 6, Outdoor denim CS CTMH, Buttons CTMH, Ribbon Holiday Collection CTMH, Embroidery Floss CTMH, Stamps TLC CTMH, Sakura Gelly Roll pen.

Well I survived my weekend and lived to tell the tale LOL. I enjoyed reading about what everyone did over the holiday weekend! The kids went swimming again today and had a blast. They all went up a level in swimming and so they were really pleased. The last day of swimming lessons last week they got to go down the water slide woohoo!
