Anya Coloring Book

DSC_0007

You know my girls just LOVE to color any and all of the TGF stamps….so I decided to make a little coloring book. The outside is made with some cardboard and the inside ‘pages’ are plain index cards which I punched holes in. I then stamped every Anya and Miss Anya I had  (and the little animals) for them to color. I only had one jump ring (thanks Cibele for giving me the right name for the ring thingies) so please forgive the fact that one is missing. I decorated the outside with some papers I had left over from the Amy Castle Project and added a Princess Anya with some ribbon, flowers and bling . I think I am finally getting the hang of coloring the hair with Copics!!!! This particular book went to my friend’s little 6 year old sweetie pie…and I was told she loved it :0)  Using the index cards was a great idea as they are just the right size, don’t cost a bunch, and don’t need cutting. These came in a pack of 100 so I will make a couple more. Sorry about the photo…I didn’t take it in my light box so it’s not the best.

Hope you are all going to come along on Saturday and join in with the Unscripted blog hop. In the mean time stay safe and warm.

Enjoy!

A Few Clean And Simple Kraft Cards…

I think I may be overdoing the SIMPLE LOL…..but I just love the look of ink on cardstock and single layer cards.  The first card uses kraft CS and one of my new SS from PTI. I embossed the flower with white detail EP. The second card I used a wood stamp that was on sale at HL and colored the hearts with my Copics and Sakura stardust pens, so IRL it is very glittery. The third one also used some of my new PTI stamps the ones designed for buttons. I have to say this is my first time ever using their stamps and they are well worth the investment…very superior stamped images.

I will leave you with a picture of our Christmas and New Years Eve treat to ourselves……(Hubby and moi)

This is one of the best champagne’s I have ever tasted…! It runs about $60 a bottle, if you don’t get the hand painted one with the glasses like we do. YUM!

Thanks SO MUCH for all your comments…you just have no idea how much they mean to me and how they make this all worthwhile!!! You guys rock!

Enjoy!

Another Valentine Treat Holder….

 DSC_0017DSC_0019 DSC_0018

Oh my gosh but these are easy to make. I saw this done at a LSS and thought…I can do that! It just uses a 12x12 sheet of CS scored to make 9 4 inch squares. I decorated mine with CTMH’s That’s Amore paper and CTMH ribbon. I set eyelets in the top for the ribbon to go through. Sadly once again I have NO treats to put in this box!!!

This is a short post as I have 6 kids here tonight and I just noticed it’s already tomorrow!!! Sigh.  If I didn’t stop by your blog today…well time is just getting away from me.

Hope you are all safe and warm.

Enjoy!

Butter Carton Template Valentine Treat Box….

DSC_0020

So I was cooking with butter and I grabbed the box and emptied out the sticks and was about to throw the box in the recycle bin…and LOL inspiration hit. I disassembled the box and created a template with it. It was really easy, so easy in fact that I felt daring enough to cut a window in one of the sides. So there you have it…free template from a butter carton. I used some CS from my stash, That’s Amore PP from CTMH, ribbon also from my stash, sentiment CTMH, Tulip ink CTMH. I used the clear bit in the front of a paper cd sleeve to cover my window…now if there was any candy left in the house I could fill it :0)

This fits the challenge from Get Sketchy…which is Trash to Treasure.

And possibly the Template challenge from Just Us girls challenge Blog

Have a wonderful Sunday my friends I hope you all stay safe and warm.

Enjoy.

OK Now I am Obsessed With Hearts….

I was obsessed with snowflakes and Christmas cards..now I have moved on to Valentines, Hearts and Love LOL. I know you will bear with me through all of my fads right!  This is a set of 4x4 cards I will probably put on my ETSY store and hope to sell (yeah right LOL). The supplies minimal…kraft CS, Tulip and White Daisy ink CTMH, sentiments all CTMH, Gelly Roll white gel pen, Red glitter paper LSS, heart punches…and voila!

I just cannot tell you how thankful I am for each and every person who takes the time to leave a comment…or sign up as a follower. I never would have believed when I started this ….less than a year ago…that I would be nearing 15,000 hits and 80 plus followers! I am awed and humbled by the experience.

I have been following some blogs that have disappeared or slowed down on their postings. I totally understand as it is a HUGE commitment to keep this going and I know you all agree.

The cons are the HUGE chunks of time that it takes and ummmmm actually I think that is the ONLY con ha ha!

The pros wayyyy outnumber the cons.

The friends I have met.

The RAK I have experienced.

The HUGE confidence boost I get with every comment.

The ability to give and ask for prayers.

The ability to ask and answer questions.

The ability to share my art and my life…and enjoy others art and lives!

To celebrate and commiserate with people I have never met.

You all rock and I wish you all a VERY MERRY CHRSITMAS!

I am signing off for a couple of days and will see you after Christmas.

Stay safe and enjoy!

A CASE’d Card from PaperCrafts…..

 DSC_0014

DSC_0012

I CASE’d the first card from PaperCrafts magazine Jan/Feb 2010….pg 70 card done by Lisa Johnson. There are so many awesome cards in this issue…and some really fussy ones (sorry PaperCrafts I just don’t DO fussy…though I am in awe of those who can). So this simple card just jumped out at me. I didn’t have a bow so I made a little paper rose and added it instead. All supplies are CTMH except the kraft CS. I also used a glue pen and prisma glitter along the flourish for extra bling! The second card was made with some scraps on my desk. I was playing with a new (to me) Cuttlebug folder and had it laying around. Added it to the kraft, some CTMH felt and a bit of ribbon and done. Still not so sure about it. I will say I LOVE the first one…but that’s cos it’s not mine LOL.

I hope you are all ready for the BIG DAY..I had to run around today to make sure I had everything as we are getting a rain/ice/snow storm over the next 3 days…who know what we will get but if it’s ice I am NOT going out.

Thanks as always for ALL your comments…I appreciate each and every one of them.

Merry Christmas.

Not a Christmas Card Post…

DSC_0020

DSC_0016

DSC_0019 DSC_0021 DSC_0022 DSC_0017

I go down to my ‘space’  and I just can’t seem to create anything I am happy with…Just got no Mojo flowing. So these are just simple cardstock,  stamp, and ink cards.  I used kraft (LSS) and Colonial White CS CTMH, stamp sets are Priceless love and Felicity CTMH, ink is Tulip and Grey Flannel CTMH, Pearls CTMH, Shiny glass dew drop thingies Hobby Lobby. OHHHH and I went around the flower and flourish with a Sakura Star dust glitter pen, it is really sparkley IRL.  I don’t know about the placement of the sentiment…I can live with empty space on a card, that doesn’t faze me, but……sigh, I need some creative juices to flow here!

So my kids built some pretty amazing  gingerbread houses the other day…there was some major candy construction going on LOL…I just love them! Little chimneys with smoke and crazy paving with graham crackers, they had a ball! My DS built more of a fort than a house ! They even have little sheds in the yard and trees. Hope you don’t mind me sharing here.

DSC_0001 DSC_0002 DSC_0004 DSC_0006 DSC_0008 DSC_0009 DSC_0010 DSC_0011

Well thanks for indulging me! Here’s hoping Mojo appears soon!!!

If I don’t post again before Christmas I wish each and everyone of you a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Enjoy.

50th Birthday Card

DSC_0013

DSC_0014

DSC_0010 DSC_0016

I found this neat tutorial on SCS for a recessed window card, or shadow box style card…and gave it a go.  This card is for a dear friend of ours who turns 50 on Friday…He and his family are about the most wonderful people you could meet.  I really love this style of card, next time I make one I will make the window deeper I think.  The supplies are all CTMH except the number stickers. I used the Game On paper pack. Sentiment stamps are CTMH as is that birthday cake. I originally had the whole cake black..but the number 50 didn’t show up well…so I restamped the center of the cake in bamboo and added it. There is some faux stitching around the outside. Here is a link to the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdFpXaor-ts&feature=related

Well, have a wonderful evening and as always..enjoy!
